Working in the hotel industry makes it hard to vacation. I notice things that the average traveler doesn’t and my standards and expectations may be a bit different. After a long day of travel- two flights and then 2 hour ride from Panama City- we arrived. I was disappointed in how dated and beat up the rooms were and initially thought of just checking out and finding someplace else. However my daughter and parents told me to relax and give it a day. I am so thankful that I did. Daniel the Lobby Ambassador is amazing. Attentive to all our questions and needs. This portion of our trip the objective was to just relax. Sit by the water and take in sun with someone serving us food and drinks. Juan Carlos did not disappoint and exceeded all expectations. Knew our flavor preferences, had off menu snacks prepared and was there for our every need. Daniel and Juan Carlos turned my entire trip around. They are a true asset to the property and without them and their incredible hospitality we probably would have left. Top notch service and highly recommend if you can get past the rooms. Not that the rooms are bad, just not what I was expecting.

We did five nights and had a blast. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, every restaurant we've had has been fantastic, lots of pools and beaches. Golf, spa, decent gym, shuttle services whenever you need them, the zoo, safe! Everything has been A++. One really cool highlight we had was the chocolate making experience at Cocoa Experimental Bar. It was cool to learn a little bit about the process of chocolate making and then we actually did get to make some chocolate bars and our two toddlers had so much fun getting involved. The chef and staff are just so awesome about it and you can tell that they really enjoy what they're doing. Highly highly highly recommend trying it The Taco restaurant is really good, Google reviews are ok, but read them, they're getting better over time! At Mansa, get the sea bass, thank me later

This was my second stay at Buenaventura in a year. As before, I very much enjoyed it, and I'll likely return. The giant tree, the accommodating staff, the wildlife, the open-air spaces... Special thanks to Daniel at the front desk, who found the perfect room for me.

I took 11 adults and 2 toddlers 3 and 2, to celebrate my birthday. I was not sure what to expect but the reviews were mostly positive so I took the leap and chose Buenaventura. Boy were we blown away!! The service, the attentiveness, the grounds, the amenities, the opportunities!!!! I fell in love with Panama and Buenaventura played a huge role in that. Were there some hiccups? No where is perfect but Buenaventura is pretty close. I will return and do more as we stayed 2 days. All in all I had an experiencia asombrosa!!! Gracias Buenaventura

When you live in Panama City, sometimes you just need a break in a excellent hotel with a nice beach. This hotel offers you all the comfort you need in a beautiful setting. Don't miss the Teppanyaki restaurant, horseback riding on the beach at sunset, the amazing breakfast buffet in the morning or some relaxation at the SPA. In addition, we were blessed with the exceptional service of all the staff, but I must highlight the kindness and professionalism of the receptionist, Ms. Viamca Alema. Thank you!
