We stayed at Maroma, A Belmond Hotel for a birthday trip, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the service was second to none—warm, attentive, and thoughtful in every detail. Our room was beautifully appointed, blending authentic Mexican charm with modern luxury and comfort. Every space felt private and serene. The food was spectacular—some of the best meals we’ve ever had, both in flavor and presentation. Each dining experience felt special, from breakfast to dinner on the beach. Maroma has set the bar incredibly high for our future travels. It’s a rare place that manages to be both luxurious and deeply relaxing, and we can’t wait to return.

Professional and friendly staff, beyond beautiful property. Worth every penny. Snorkeling in the area is exceptional.

This was our third visit to Maroma and the first since the property renovations. It is a true paradise. We have stayed at dozens of 5-star hotels and resorts and the staff at Maroma is among the best in the world. Every single request or need is anticipated and fulfilled promptly and to the best of their ability. You will never want to leave the property. The resort is spotless and very unique to the area.

I have never teared up leaving a hotel before, but that’s how much I loved our stay here. The staff was incredible, our room was beautiful, and the food was outstanding — what’s not to love? While sitting near the beach, a staff member came around cleaning guests’ sunglasses. They always say it’s the little touches that matter, and that was a real wow moment for me. I’ve had the luxury of staying at some amazing hotels, but that was a first! Dining at Woodend is an absolute must — the cauliflower dish was amazing. I don’t even care for cauliflower that much, but this one was incredible! I also loved seeing all the little critters roaming the property — such a fun touch of nature. My only minor complaint is that my husband and I joined a couple of the scheduled activities. Even though they were adult activities and there weren’t many kids on the property, they were held in the kids’ club, where the seating was limited to bean bags or child-sized chairs. I would have enjoyed the experience even more with proper seating. Overall, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve ever had — and I can’t wait to come back!

I got food poisoning from a drink at one of the bars (no I did not consume any of the tap water while in Mexico) and the amount of seaweed made the beach very undesirable and made the ocean unattractive to get in.

Our recent stay at Maroma Resort and Spa in the Mayan Rivera in Mexico, ranks among the best of our travels. This is a place for experienced travelers who want the best nature has to offer, lots of ambiance, a native flair and an international doting staff in an expansive private resort with very few vacationers. We would recommend this resort and spa to anyone who wants the very finest.

We used Luxury Link for a vacation at La Moroma. The resort is unlike most high end destination spots: it is a true beach property. At Maromo you open your door and you are on the beach. The service at the hotel is one the you would find at a typical 5 star hotel. The entire staff pretty much knows your name and what you like by the second day that you are there. They are so happy to attend to anything that you want. I will continue to recommend the hotel to anyone that I meet!
