We visited the hotel two months ago. We had an extraordinary experience and decided to return. We did not think it could be any better. We were wrong. It was sensational! The hotel is in pristine condition, but it is the service personnel that exceeded expectations with obvious excellence. Every wish or desire is fulfilled with genuine pleasure. If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve thought we were the owners. We will return again shortly.

Just returned from 8 days at Maroma. This really is the most perfect hotel in a truly glorious location. Maroma is situated on a beautiful stretch of beach - the colour of the ocean is incredible. Rooms are fantastically decorated with local artefacts and furniture, many with superb ocean views. There are two excellent restaurants serving delicious food. In addition there are two further bars, offering glorious cocktails. What sets Maroma apart from any hotel we’ve ever stayed in is the staff. The service is, without exception, first class. All employees appear to enjoy their jobs, they make it their business to learn your name, they are professional and incredibly friendly. To name a few - Ricardo (for his brilliant service around the pool), Roberto (the incredibly talented mixologist making delicious cocktails at Freddy’s bar), David and Jorge (the exceptionally friendly waiters at Freddy’s), Oscar (a friendly face at breakfast) and Sabrina (our super-helpful Concierge). We can’t find fault with Maroma. The most perfect 8 days. We can’t wait to return in 2025.

Belmond Maroma is a very special place! If you are looking for one of the most beautiful spots in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, authentic Mayan influence and charm, attention to every detail and a most relaxing experience, this is the place! Maroma is found at the end of a lush and enchanting jungle, abutting a beautiful, white sand beach. Every morning, you will see the Sun rise over the Ocean and almost every evening, you will likely see the Moon. This resort is intimate yet well-spaced out with approx. 70 suites, rooms and villas. The emphasis is on local ingredients and experiences. If you love authentic, Mexican food with the finest ingredients and preparation, this is the place! The staff is so kind, attentive and welcoming. Maroma is one of my favorite spots in the world. My family and I have been back approx. 10 times in the last 20 years. It's that special!

This resort has everything one would expect from a high-end luxury resort, especially one owned by Belmond, part of the iconic LVMH Group. We’ve stayed at all the luxury properties in Riveria Maya and, in our view, this is the new standard of excellence in the region. An extensive renovation was completed in 2023, and it was beautifully done. The attention to detail in the architecture and craftsmanship throughout the property is very impressive. The beach is spectacular and measures over a quarter mile from one end of the resort to the other. There are just over 70 rooms and with a beach that wide, it never feels crowded. If you like to lose track of time and reality on a beautiful beach pampered by polished and professional staff, this is your place. Tasty and refreshing amenities are brought around every hour or so. The vibe is very chill and private. There are no hyperactive social directors. We kept remarking while walking the grounds that it reminded us of One & Only Palmilla in Cabo which we’ve enjoyed many times over the years. If you like that property, you will probably love this hotel. Service levels everywhere were very high. We had perfect service at every location whether it be breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails, service at the beach, reception, etc. Many of the staff members came to this resort from the other luxury resorts in the region. There are 2 main restaurants. A third smaller option called Freddy's offers a more casual option for lunch featuring raw bar selections. We were extremely impressed with the quality of the food at the two main restaurants, Casa Mayor and Woodened. Both offered indoor and outdoor dining. Outside seating is beautiful right next to the ocean. The indoor seating is almost equally inviting due to the lovely décor. There are 2 great bars, one outside basically on the beach and the other inside which feels like an elegant lounge. The buildings comprising the hotel were originally constructed many years ago, apparently by a local architect. Many rooms have unique configurations. Room layouts vary a bit even within the same room categories. We like this and it made the hotel feel more interesting and authentic. The spa is by Le Germain and is beautiful. Fitness center small but well appointed. Management was always present. Staff greeted us by name. Servers in the restaurants remembered our preferences from previous days. Service was professional and attentive, not intrusive. It’s clear that the associates at this resort enjoy working there and they are very professional. This is a terrific option for a relaxing, romantic and luxurious getaway.

Beautiful hotel, amazing food & beverages, well-appointed spa and the most incredible service ever. This hotel sets the bar at the highest level in terms of an overall 5-star experience. It feels like you are stepping back in time at this intimate resort. The setting is perfect with beautiful wide white sand beaches and turquoise waters. The 2 main restaurants offer a wide range of elevated options that focus on the natural local ingredients. Bambuca lounge serves well.-crafted cocktails, with first class service, in a setting that feels like old world elegance. The staff are the most gracious and attentive we’ve ever experienced. Across the entire resort - from the restaurants to the beach to your own personal concierge - you will be treated like royalty.. Our concierge, Sabrina, took care of every detail and went above-&-beyond to make our experience the most special in every way imaginable. The staff are constantly amazing guests with thoughtful surprises. We also had the pleasure of experiencing the Guerlain spa and were hosted by Rodi, Claudia, & Julie - what a gift! If you are looking for a big, bustling resort…this isn’t the place…but if you are seeking one of the most special, intimate, & luxurious experiences…get here as fast as you can!
