Reviews for Samoset Resort On The Ocean
We enjoyed another Thanksgiving weekend family getaway. The Resort was clean and functional and festively decorated. We enjoyed breakfast buffet at La Bella Vita and Enoteca pizza bar with happy hour later on. Corn-toss and ping pong were fun to play while set up and the pool, steam room and hot tub are always a hit. Sitting by the lobby wood fireplace, playing cards, while sipping the multi fruit infused water offered was nice as well. The Samoset has many common areas and things to do without leaving the resort with beautiful views to enjoy while in them. We never feel "trapped" in our rooms while staying.

Room 320 with great views on bright, sunny days. Wonderful , peaceful experience with large room and comfortable beds, table , chairs , and great T.V. Small refridge for soda, beer, and wine. The kids loved the pool. Plenty of room to relax in the lounge area. Bar area was warm , cozy. and relaxing. Drinks were well made. The food was delicious. Holliday decorations were up which enhanced the experience. Plenty of families with well behaved young children. The days were sunny so walking trips were a pleasure. Staff is wonderful and accommodating. Although it is a holiday period and staff is difficult to schedule, the wait for brunch was a little too long. My group did other things while waiting, while I sat, relaxing while overlooking the golf course and ocean and talking to other wonderful guests. We ended up in a private dinning room.

Fabulous views! Great accommodations. Great dining. Staff was terrific! We had a car issue and had to leave car overbite. GM Connie and staff were very helpful. Agreed to let us stay xtra night if car was not ready, at reduced rate. GM eventually gave us ride to our car, while staying open for us to come back for luggage to return home to NH. Will definitely be back!!! Highly recommend!!!

My wife and I arrived the evening of November 17th and were treated to a wonderful experience for my wife's birthday celebration. We are upgraded to a Jacuzzi Suite with an ocean view. Spectacular View!! The front desk was accommodating and extremely professional. After a complimentary martini was delivered to my wife for her birthday, We had an outstanding dinner and great service at La Bella Vista and enjoyed a great post dinner jacuzzi which was excellently maintained. We went to breakfast at Bella Vista the next morning and once again were treated to great food and service. We had a Birthday Celebration for a party of 6 that evening and were all treated to another yet great meal with great service. We plan on making this an annual event!!

We arrived 15 November and had reserved an ocean front deluxe room several months in advance. The room was not up to our expectations, and the general manager quickly corrected this, even upgrading us. He also moved our luggage for us! The upgrade was spectacular - a cottage with amazing sunrise views and a view of the lighthouse and the breakwater. The lounge and restaurant were very good - service a little slow in the dining room, but it was near the end of the season and regular staff may not have all been there. Bar/lounge service was terrific (ask for Kerry in the bar area). My husband was happy with the beer selection - Harpoon's Hoppy Adventure", a nice improvement over the precious time we were there. The food was good especially one nightly special of a tenderloin filet and scallops brochette. Ambience in the lobby includes comfortable seating areas to read or have coffee and a huge wood burning fireplace. We'll definitely be back
