My wife and I stayed here for a week through an RCI timeshare exchange. The resort is beautiful. From our 2nd story condo, we looked across the golf course to the bay beyond. We could see the Owl's Head lighthouse across the bay. The resort is so well maintained it looks like new. Every staff person we talked with was helpful and friendly and information given was always accurate. If we make the trip from Florida to Maine, again, this is where we will stay. The Central Coast location makes for a great home base for sightseeing by car. Acadia National Park is less than two hours away and the towns of Rockland, Camden, Rockport and Belfast have excellent restaurants and very scenic harbors. Loved it.

The resort location is beautiful. There are many DONTS. DONT WALK ON GRASS, Don't smoke , Don't walk around with a drink. On Friday evening there were about 20 guest around the fire pit enjoying the fire and evening as well as buying drinks. At 10:20 pm the bar maid came out gave last call and at 10:29 pm turned off the fire pit and blatantly told the guest they are locking the lounge doors. It seemed very rude and we've never stayed at resort that would turn off a fire pit full of guest enjoying it. The resort is lovely , food is great but if you don't golf I'd go some place else. We travel allot..Because of a rude lazy bar maid we won't be back. Plus the pool had no water in it. It was the weekend before Memorial Day. We just found the location lacked any vacation Fun atmosphere ( more of a BUZZ KILL) We do make our own fun though!!

I stayed at the Samoset Resort 4 days and 3 nights for a company conference. This place is SENSATIONAL!!! I mean I honestly don't know where to begin! The staff is incredible! Everyone from the front desk, to wait staff, to housekeeping was so friendly and welcoming. They did everything possible to make the stay a great one. The views on the property are amazing! The food is absolutely delicious! The resort had lunch set up for us outside a few days which was nice after being cooped up inside in the various ballrooms during the conference. The wine selections were excellent as well. The rooms were great as well. Most have a view unless you are unfortunate like me to be facing the front side toward the parking lot and walkway to the breakwall. The beds were extremely comfortable! I took many naps while I was here! Lol An amazing experience. This was my first trip to Maine and I enjoyed every minute!

This was the ( approximately) 15th time my wife and I stayed at the Samoset Resort in Rockland Maine. As , always we were very happy with the accommodations and the outstanding meals in both the restaurant and the bar area. Very accommodating staff . The hotel is always extremely clean and up to date. The staff at the front desk are always cordial and helpful. My thanks to Mr. Russell for taking care of us as he usually does. Art&Linda Kaplan
