Excellent hotel. Coveniently located for central Rome and operates a free courtesy vehicle. Our junior suite was lovely. Breakfast and evening meal in the hotel were very good. Staff were friendly and helpful, although one or two of the breakfast staff could be happier.

Absolutely fantastic hotel in a very quiet area, yet close enough to reach all the major attractions of the wonderful city of Rome. My granddaughters, wife and myself dined at the hotel in the evening and the food and service were excellent. All in all a wonderful stay ,many thanks to the helpful staff.

This is a busy, busy hotel. You will hear all sorts of different languages spoken by the guests. This is not smack in the middle of all the ruins you may want to see-but rather in a quiet residential area. Lots of apartment buildings around. A free van will take you to the city center all day and evening long. If it's full take a cab for about ten euros. A very nice breakfast buffet is provided. This is rare in Rome. There are eggs, meats, cheese, fruit, yoghurt and pastries galore. I love the hot tea. It's hard to get a good cup of tea in the states because the hot water container has always had coffee in it earlier and tastes like coffee water! The hotel has an air of elegance. Lots of marble is everywhere. The dining room is pricey for dinner but just walk down the hill to Piazza Euclide for many food choices. All of the staff are extremely helpful and those behind the desk speak English. They can help you buy tickets and book tours. I would definitely recommend it. And would definitely return. You will definitely sleep better here than in the much noisier city center and you will save a couple of hundred dollars a night!

Very quiet and elegant hotel. We had the surprise to be upgraded to a suite without any fee. Very nice, clean hotel and the terrace is outstanding. Very good food at breakfast. Staff is very nice and helpfull, speaking fluent French & English. The hotel provides a shuttle, free of charge, every hour, to Piazza del Popolo.

The Duke Hotel is situated on a quiet street in a quiet area of the city. Urban transport takes the visitor to Euclide Station (suburban line) after which it is a pretty stiff pull uphill to the hotel. The distance seems more than the 400 metres announced - especially when the temperature is around 40Ā°C! The Duke does, however, provide a free shuttle service morning, afternoon and evening,to and from the Piazza del Populo, which allows for easy connection to Line A on the metropolitan underground network. The service runs every 15 minutes, but it is necessary to book for a specific time at reception. My executive suite was furnished with good taste and was impeccably clean, as was the bathroom. The bed linen was fresh and well laundered. Cleaning was throughly done on a daily basis. The air-conditioning was greatly appreciated. Breakfast takes the form of a buffet offering a wide variety of foodstuffs: cereals, cold meats, cheese, fresh fruit, bread, rolls, cakes, fruit juices, tea, coffee, herbal tea ... and even prosecco! The reception staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful, all of which contributed to a most pleasant stay at the Duke Hotel. I would have no hesitation in returning there. Some 20 metres from the hotel, there is a supermarket, which is open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., an added bonus for the tourist in search of a light snack or something to drink - or even a bar of chocolate or a piece of fruit..
