First the was a nice clean hotel. The restaurant was good but a bit pricey as hotel restaurants go. The staff was very nice and friendly and accommodating. The room I was in 225 was a nice big room. Bed was too hard for my comfort. Not all of them are. My friends (a couple) were in room 410 and it was a tiny, tiny room. Now for the issues: although the hotel says air conditioning they do not turn it on until after May 15th. I was there for 2 nights May 8th and 9th. It was pleasant outside, but the room was warn and stuffy. Hotel indicated the same goes for heating, so call and make sure air and heat will be working when you book. The main complaint is the shuttle. This hotel is VERY out of the way. There is no walking to the closest Piazza. In the 2 days were were there we got the shuttle the day we checked in. When we were ready to go back to the hotel we called for the shuttle and it was full so we would to have waited over 2-1/2 hours. The shuttle only goes on certain times and it is a 6 passenger van. Needless to say we ended up taking taxi's to and from the hotel to the Piazza which was between 10-12 euros. From the Piazza it was only a 10 minute walk to the Spanish Steps. From the hotel to the Piazza was a long walk maybe 45 minutes and many hills. The hotel is in such a remote private residence neighborhood we would have never have found it walking back.

The hotel is slightly outside the centre of Rome, in a peaceful, though built-up area which makes it a great place to return to to relax after the hustle and bustle of the city. A free shuttle is available to get to the edge of the city centre and back. It takes just a few minutes and runs more-or-less twice an hour each way. However, it only has capacity for 6 people and can get booked up at popular times. Our room was clean and pleasant with a walk-in wardrobe and large bathroom. There wasn't a view out of the windows though and the bed was very firm. Most staff were very friendly and helpful, just a couple who let the rest down. The restaurant food was excellent, but limited choice. There's free wifi and it provides good access speeds. They also provide a smartphone you can use during the stay but we didn't bother so not sure how good it is.

The hotel is not in the center of Rome but in a quiet place. The shuttle to the Piazza del Popolo is comfortable and easy to booking in advance. We are four people and we can booking without problems. The shuttle was always at time. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the bed quite large for the European standards. The bathroom full and clean. The lounges very nice and pleasants. The breakfast is recommended: abundant and varied. The best thing for me was the free mobile phone that you have in the room: you can use it as guide for Rome and access to Internet all the day. As we have two rooms, we use it to get in touch with sons the easily in the crowed tourist places. The WiFi also performs well in the rooms and the lounges.

I stayed here for 2 nights before our cruise from Rome. Although the room was nice and great for 4 people, there were several issues I didn't like about this hotel. The front desk staff was not very nice. Although informative, she had an attitude and was very rude. When we were checking out, we had 4 large suitcases and I asked for a bellman to get our luggage because their elevators were small. she told me they have no staff and we have to bring them ourselves. I told her they were huge bags and she said she was sorry but there was nothing she can do. She said take that luggage carrier and go get it myself. The whole time she was talking to me, the other staff member were fighting with each other and then shed jump in and fight with them! The hotel offered a free shuttle service to the north entrance of the city. The thing is you call and reserve it. The driver of the shuttle was very strange. DIdnt say hello, or acknowledge any of the guests waiting. He just got in and drove off. No hello, no nothing. The first day we were there, I called the hotel and asked if they can pick us up and said that we needed them in an hour because I was told to call an hour in advance. The driver said he will see me an an hour. When we got there, it came about 10 minutes late and all the passengers got on the shuttle. Problem was there was 4 of us and 4 other guests,. There was only room for 6 not 8. When he arrived he asked us if we called and I said yes. He asked my room number and I told him, he said I never called and there was not enough room for everyone. I told him I called, how come they can get on the shuttle and I cant? He said he had no phone call listed from our room. I told him we did and he said we had to wait until he takes the first set of passenger and he would come back. I even showed him the phone call from my cell! But he said they dont have our number on the list. Grrr So we waited another 30 minutes for him to return. We were pissed. The passengers on the first shuttle offered to let us on and them get off, but we thanked them and said no. The next morning during breakfast, one of the guests on the shuttle recognized me and said they she felt bad for us to have to wait another 30 minutes. She said that the other passengers admitted they never called the shuttle but got on and thats why they offered to get off. I asked her if she liked the driver and she said the same thing I was thinking, that he was strange. During the shuttle drive he would start to grunt! We both laughed because he did the same thing on each ride. The next day, my kids and husband and I took the metro back to the hotel rather than fuss with calling the shuttle to get us because of what happened the day before. It was super easy and super quick. Faster than the shuttle and just a 5 minute walk from the hotel! well with the 1.50 euro for each person than have the driver from hell! I do have to admit the hotel was nice, but I would not suggest this hotel just because of the staff. The room we had was a family suite but it was freezing. I asked if someone could help us with the temperature and they said they would be up but nobody ever came up. We just made sure we asked for extra blankets the next day and they told us we cant ask for more than one blanket. We were there for 2 nights and we were glad when we left there.

What a great night's sleep - the mattress was brilliant. Well situated for the City because of the complimentary bus - that takes the quick hope down to town. Super clean rooms, friendly service and helpful reception. All super easy.
