If you are looking for a hotel in the Centro Storico this is well placed in Piazza Minerva. It is much quieter than the nearby Piazza Rotonda which is the site of the Pantheon. Piazza Minerva is close to some of Rome's best coffee and gelato institutions. This hotel has spacious rooms, good service excellent breakfast and elegant public spaces. The Lobby was renovated some years ago my a noted Italian Architect in a manner that is in keeping with the character of the building. The room decor is a little plain but with elegant lines. Some furniture could use updating and recovering. Hotel has all of the needs one would expect from a good hotel. This is the third or fourth time I have stayed here and planning to return soon again.

This is a classic hotel. It is an unbelievable location right behind the Pantheon, but when you are in the Piazza de la Minerve you feel like you are many miles away in a beautiful palazzo. From this location you can literally walk in any direction 10 to 20 minutes to most key sites, art galleries, museums, restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with rooms that have high ceilings and large windows. The staff is incredibly responsive, and there is a rooftop restaurant with an impressive view of Rome.

It has a superb location. The views from its terrace are stunning but it is also supremely well situated for visiting all the main tourist attractions and sites. The staff are charming, courteous, friendly without ever being over familiar. The food is excellent and the rooms spotless and well appointed. It was a fabulous stay.
