About the Hotel

There isn’t a better immersion in the glory days of the Roaring Twenties than Grand Hotel Palace – part of the collection of – a regal mainstay on Rome’s famed Via Veneto. The white columned façade bears a hint of the Colosseum, but inside the wrought iron gate is an homage to Bohemian Rome. Architect Marcello Piacentini’s thoughtful design showcases floor-to-ceiling frescoes of bygone society, while marble floors and Murano crystal chandeliers retain a sense of timelessness.

10 euros per person per night city tax !

No complain about the room and service you get typical of European standard. The small intimate spa is nice after a day out walking. Lots of walking required to see Rome tourist spots. First time in spa was great, warm water however the next day water was cold and spa staff informed will be warm next time but it remained cold on our next visit. Upon checking out we were charged 10 euro per person per day for Rome city tax - that was 80 euros for 4 nights stay which I later checked in internet normally about 5 euros !

Rooms need renovation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Furniture is worn and ripped, even in the lobby. Absolutely beautiful ceiling in the atrium, grand staircase, then your room is that of a 2 or, at best, 3 star. Many other much better hotels in Rome at a significantly reduced room rate. Literally the hardest bed we've ever had in a hotel, and gnats in the bathroom. I don't normally leave reviews, but the pictures they present of the rooms are so misleading, something needs to be said.

Superb

An absolutely beautiful hotel with wonderful staff and the accommodations were excellent. My friend had an issue with her room and it was dealt with within minutes of her commenting to the front desk. My room was perfect with plenty of storage and the bed was more than comfortable. Cleanliness was second to none. The staff were very friendly, helpful and more importantly, cheerful. Breakfast was a buffet style and more than plentiful to set you up for the day. We also had occasion to have dinner in the restaurant, where we were served by Vlad who was most helpful and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend any traveler to stay here.

Love this hotel! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Maria was a warm and friendly concierge lady. The breakfasts were delicious, plentiful and most accommodating. Rooms were clean, althoug that high bath tub was a challenge! Haha! It's central location made touring easy! I'll go back again! Felt like a home , away from home!
