Reviews for Grand Hotel Via Veneto
This hotel had a large bathroom with good quality amenities and a relatively roomy guestroom. The heating system eas very quiet but also inefficient. The rainshower was nice but every once on a while it would scald you when somebody in some other room would flush the toilet. The concierge and bellboy and door man were extremely polite and nice and the restaurant and breakfast was ok although very expensive. Two major drawbacks...first of all, check in was a nightmare.... We arrived at 9 am but checked in around 2 pm, because a friend had booked the room for us but we didn't have his credit card. Our own credit card had insufficient funds, and the hotel will not check you in without a valid credit card with at least 200 euros credit for them to block. No amount of cash deposit instead of the credit card is acceptable. It took ages for me to have my agent email a copy of his credit card and passport and a signed consent form allowing the hotel to charge his card for the 200 euros.... First time ever in Europe that I have had such a predicament. Secondly, check out. Had to be precisely 12 noon. Not 12:01....no matter what. Because the hotel is fully booked. We had to modify our city tour due to not being able yo check out at 1pm. Other than these issues, it was a nice hotel all in all.

Stayed there over the weekend. Greeted really well. Tasty breakfast. Lots of good restaurants around (Harry's one of them). Reception treatment was immaculate, hope i remember her name well Cristina, she was warm and welcoming like an old friend. Room was impressive :). Room 403. Car parking was easy just around the hotel. Walking distance to many shopping streets. Will hit the repeat button without a blink.

Booked a Deluxe room for 2 adults 1 child, on arrival show a room on 2nd floor, dark and when you looked out the window there was nappies on the roof below, very off putting, when they called up from reception , it was reported back via porter that we were not happy with room, Reception said could give us an upgrade to grand Deluxe at no extra, but they were not suitable for 3 in a room, But we could move to an open suite, ( which was much the same thing with an extra bathroom, which the shower did not work properly, ) extra £440 per night, they agreed a fee of 370 extra a night . This really put a damper on our visit to Rome as it was a huge extra charge for room with a slightly better view, (did not mind paying something, but felt slightly robbed ) Would not recommend this hotel.

Fantastic hotel, polite and courteous staff, excellent restaurant - what's not to like?! Pros: Personalized check-in upon arrival, early check-in offered, spa onsite with easy-access, Michelin-star restaurant also onsite (huge plus for dinner reservations facility), fantastic concierge (Valeria was helpful, kind and unfailingly proper), excellent housekeeping staff, large bathrooms with rainfall showers, Bulgari bath products (which are fabulous), walk-in closet with space for his/her division, comfy slippers, many English-language television channels, good soundproofing between rooms, incredibly comfortable mattress, suite was spacious and well-appointed. Cons: could have used a late check-out (due to jet lag), restaurant location/seating was a bit confusing to navigate, would be excellent if there was a tour company the concierge could recommend to guests and had a direct connection to.

Location was good, five star service and housekeeping. The bed, and the mattress, on the other way, seemed too old. The bed was quite low, and the mattress soft in excess. At the arrival, bathroom door was broken, and sink pipe was dripping. Door was fixed, and dripping stoped at first moment, but started again.. Good hotel, but not what we expected from a Jumeirah five star hotel
