Reviews for Grand Hotel Via Veneto
Stayed with my husband. We booked a double de luxe room with Via Veneto view. We were not disappointed. Beautiful room with huge windows and a delightful little balcony overlooking Via Veneto. The only thing missing was a full length mirror or even a half mirror in the room. Greeted by very professional and friendly front desk staff and immediately felt welcomed. Hotel extremely comfortable and service discreet and efficient throughout. Fresh fruit at breakfast would have been nice but buffet and cooked breakfast to order was excellent. We are in love with Rome and visit at least once a year. We have stayed in other 5 star hotels over the years and some have been disappointing even though they were more expensive. Location of Hotel just perfect. We cannot wait to return.

Have you ever regret stsyingat a hotel?! This is how we felt. So many optiones in the city I wish we considered more seriously. They don't comprehend or appreicate that guests have flown all they way and choose to stay with them. They are not even taking the feedback in consideration. It tells loads. The room was an okay size. Duvet was so tired and worn. You only get one bottle of water upon check-in, no daily top up. Add to that no bottle opener in the room. If you need the minibar, you call room service and they will open it for you. Then run away with the bottle opener !! They say they cannont keep it in the room because so many guests are taking them ! How cheap is this! Its bearly a fraction of the daily rate. On our second day, after coming from the SPA, housekeeping was in progress, we asked them to allow us 5 minutes to change and leave so they can continue. When we came back, the room wasn't cleaned up, they left it as it is. Also, The minibar wasnt refilled for 2 days. Toiletries same on the last day, of course "the guest is leaving so who cares" attitude. Breakfast was less than average, if you can, skip it with no regrets. Cheaper and better optiones in the city. On the last night, they slipped a letter under the door stating that they upon themselves took a pre-authorization on my credit card due to my bill exceeding the orignal blocked amount. This is a nother level of mistrust. The right approach is to tell the guest and ask for their permission for another pre-authorisation. Not to slide an envelope under the door. Upon leaving, no one asked if we need a taxi or what time we will leave as its a standard sign of courtesy and care. Anyway, we wont be back to this hotel. You have many options around Rome. Portrait Roma is the best in terms of service although the price almost 2 folds , still value for money. If the area is your concern you have many options around such as Westin, Sevoy, Eden, Sofitel...etc.
We stayed at the wonderful Grand Hotel Via Veneto in Rome. This hotel is in a great location and the building is absolutely beautiful and stunning. The interior of the hotel is also beautiful and the room that we stayed in was wonderful, beautifully decorated with first class overall facilities. The bed was comfortable, which meant we had no sleep issues at all. The views from our bedroom was lovely. The breakfast was of a very good standard with fresh and tasty food. The service was okay with wonderful, polite and helpful staff. Overall this was a very calm, highly enjoyable and relaxing short stay at a very classy and beautiful hotel.

I stayed recently two nights. I have booked a superior room. While checking in we were told that we were upgraded to an open suite. The reception staff was friendly as well. However, when we went to the room, we found a normal room with a sofa, there wasnt any partitions or separate living room. However the room size was good. The room is clean and the bathroom was big in area as well. Everything about the hotel was great even the concierge was great. The hotel overall feels luxurious. However the bad and annoying point about the hotel was the checkout, i understand it os at 12, however we received a first call at 12:30 to empty the room and the way the lady on the phone was repeating to vacate the room was very bad. I informed her politely that Im already packing and in half an hour il be checking out. However after 10 minutes only I got another call which i decided to ignore. I would say that this kind of things shouldn’t happen in such hotels. First day i thought that this will be my hotel in rome but after the checkout experience I would consider other hotels in my future visits to rome.
The hotel is clean the rooms are nice but a little small i got a suite with bed and sofa yet not the size of a suite. The nice thing though it had 2 bathrooms. The staff were nice and helpful. Some were grumpy but did there job....
