We were booked here for 4 nights in Rome before a cruise and 1 night 2 weeks later. The rooms are comfortable. The room we had for the last night was amazing. On the top floor with 2 balcony’s we really enjoyed that room. Here is where the service surprised me. I had forgotten a toiletry bag when we left. After arriving at the ship to start our cruise i called them and they said they had it and would keep it for me when we returned in a couple of weeks. Well we arrived for our final night and they could not find it in the time that we were there. Less than a week later I received a package and it was everything i had left. I was shocked and happy. I really thought it was gone forever. I appreciate the service of getting that back to me and follow up that this hotel provided!

Mrs. Marta and Mr. Paul was the absolute best. Very professional and knowledgeable. Made our family feel like part of their families.

Nice small hotel in the city centre. It’s located on a quiet street away from the traffic noise. We stayed in a suite which suited us perfectly as we had two separate rooms and separate bathrooms. The suite was nicely decorated although it was a little tired looking in places , a few cracked tiles in the bathroom that should be replaced and the wardrobe doors were dragging on the floor, both would be easy fixes in my opinion. The rooms were very clean with a turn down service in the evening. The breakfast in the hotel was quite good with a nice selection of everything hot and cold , and tasty fresh pastries. Any staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant but had a couple of drinks on the rooftop terrace which was nice . The location of the hotel is quite good with it being about 20/30 minutes walk from both the Vatican and the Spanish steps but away from the really busy streets and noise . We enjoyed our stay and would have no problem recommending it to anyone visiting Rome.

This hotel is fantastic we stayed for 3 nights from 25th April to 28th April in 2024 we had Superior double and Superior triple bedroom as family of 5 adults . The rooms are spacious and clean has great facilities . We found all the staff at reception so helpful in regards too where to eat , how far tourist attractions are to walk , booking taxis etc , really friendly and personable . Equally the bar staff was so friendly too and engaging . We didn’t utilise the gym , we sat on rooftop terrace just have drinks up there in the evening enjoy sun. We brought drinks up from bar. The hotel is down a side street it’s in a fantastic location as it’s walkable distance to so many places there , they will provide you with maps . Don’t use Google maps don’t know why it doesn’t work there will bring you all different places especially if you book a tour and limited to time. Infact can’t fault any staff at this hotel from housekeeping to porters too as really helpful and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others it’s excellent we loved our stay so glad we chose it to celebrate ours mums birthday . It truly has a warm atmosphere they go the extra mile to make sure your stay is comfortable and pleasant .

We stayed at Hotel dei Mellini for 3 nights. We were welcomed on the arrival and checking in was quick and easy. Member of staff helped us with the luggage and showed as our room. Our room was more like a suite with a hallway and leaving room. Bathroom was spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast was served between 6.30 and 11am with a great variety of food. There was a hot option of boiled and scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon, plus tosting machine. There was a selection of pastries, muffins and cakes, jams, fruits, cornflakes, milk and yoghurt. And my favourite ham, salami and cheese board. There was also selection of bread and rolls. And of course selection of teas and coffees. We didn't have a chance to try anything of the lunch/dinner menu. However we enjoyed time at the bar 😄. Daniel who works at the bar makes a lovely cocktails. With drinks we were always offered some snacks which were very appreciated. Staff at the reception was always very helpful. They have arranged a private taxi transfer to the airport for us. Hotel is located by the river, 20 min from Vatican and 30 min from Coloseum. There are buses but we were able to walk everywhere. If we go back to Rome, I don't think we will be looking for a different hotel.
