I'm not sure what any of the complaints here are other than the price but you knew that before you made the reservation. My wife had us stay here for part of my 50th birthday and I have to say it was stupendous in every aspect of the word. My only disappointment was that it was only for three nights.

After a major renovation, the Hotel Eden ranks as one of the best if not the best hotel in Rome. Everything from the beautiful rooms to the amazing staff and delicious food put this hotel in a league of it's own. The rooftop restaurants offer two great options for viewing the city while enjoying a meal or just cocktails. The staff go out of there way to make sure all your needs are taken care of without being pretentious. While not inexpensive by any measure, you do get with you pay for and that is a 5-star luxury hotel.
My wife and I stayed overnight on October 12 at this wonderful hotel in Rome on our way back from Ravello. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a suite, which was lovely. This new renovation of this Roman landmark is exceptional in every way. The kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff is a real pleasure. Most memorable are the lovely restaurants on the roof that serve extraordinary food with excellent service. In a 24-hour period we had breakfast, lunch and a spectacular dinner at the hotel. We ate inside and outside on the terrace. Dinner was a tour de force with wonderful foods served with singular presentations against the backdrop of the sunsetting Roman skyline. What a joy. We look forward to returning to this wonderful place, actually as soon as possible.

We were so excited to use our points (from Chase Sapphire Reserve) to book a Prestige room rate that also included breakfast. The hotel was very pleasant and helpful upon our arrival and allowed us to shower and change in the spa before our room was ready. The hotel lobby and rooftop are spectacular. Our room was beautiful, the bathroom and bath products were super high end. The one thing that bothered me is that even with booking a Prestige room, we were given a room on the 1st floor, which had a view of a brick wall. If you book this category, be sure to request a higher floor above the 1st and 2nd floor, otherwise you won't clear the wall. The location of the hotel was near the Spanish steps, and a quick walk to the Trevi fountain, but otherwise far from everywhere else we went. Be sure to know that when planning your trip, because you will need to take taxis or public transportation for the majority of your time. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for luxury, a beautiful view (from the rooftop) and high quality service.
