The Hotel Splendide Royal is lovely and elegant and our room was very spacious even by American Standards. The location is fantastic across from the Borghese Gardens and about a five-minute walk from the top of the Spanish Steps. The breakfast was sumptuous and elegant with beautiful views of the gardens. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay again if we find ourselves in Rome.

The Hotel Splendide Royal excelled in every possible category. The facility was spotless, well located on a side street away from the noise of daily life in a big city yet convenient to all the sites and within walking distance of shopping and excellent restaurants. The hotel offered an excellent, well appointed buffet breakfast to start the day off right. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch with a magnificent, unsurpassed view of this special city. We were lucky enough to have a Jr. Suite with a charming balcony overlooking the Borghese Gardens and ancient city wall. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms large, modern with jacuzzi tub, beautiful shower and nice amenities. We were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco, chocolate and a fruit plate, which was truly appreciated. Check-in was friendly and quick with an escort to the room. Our children stayed in a deluxe room next door which was equally well appointed and comfortable. Both rooms were very large. We highly recommend this wonderful property and hope to return.

This was one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in in Rome. The staff was great and they upgraded me to a junior suite with a small, but adequate bedroon and a very large, modern, marble bathroom. Breakfast upstairs overlooking the Borghese park is a can't miss - the food was good and the view was outstanding. The location, minutes from the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain, was perfect. I would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful, stylish hotel in a perfect location. the terrace room we had overlooked the Borghesi gardens, and was beautiful, yet we were a 10 minute walk to Spanish steps. we ate dinner eat the Michelin starred restaurant once, and it was amazing, although very pricey.

We stayed at this hotel in 2007 our first time, and when we returned in 2014, it was like night and day. The breakfast was no longer included, and we had to pay for wifi. The feeling that we were being nickled-and-dimed was enough that I personally will not return....
