Throw a quarter over your shoulder at Trevi Fountain - a good luck charm that ensures your pleasant return someday - then wander to the Old Rome area where the Pantehon and a number of impressive cathedrals are reminiscent of the Medieval and Renaissance eras. The crowd-pleasing attractions are as such for good reason, so the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, and Vatican are certainly not to be missed. Our group of 5 booked 3 rooms at the hotel, our rooms were conveniently all on the same floor just steps from each other. The classic and deluxe rooms were both luxurious with high end linens and amenities (lotions, shampoo, etc). Starting the day with the spectacular view of the city at the breakfast buffet which included so many delicious choices was outstanding. We had late afternoon cocktails at Mirabelle which were served with a lovely assortment of hors d'oeuvres. We also had lunch at Mirabelle which has a spectacular unobstructed view of the city. The service at the hotel was excellent; the concierge answered our questions, provided maps to guide us on our walks to see attractions, and graciously helped with dinner recommendations. Wonderful Stay!

So glad we stayed at this hotel! We found the location worked well for the things we wanted to do and see while in Rome. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly and accommodating. One day we had an early morning tour and they packed a box breakfast for us. We had a “standard room” and it was small but cozy. Lots of luxury touches. The spacious bathroom was appreciated. In a city with lots of hubbub it was nice to have a quiet hotel near the park to go back to. Look for a deal that includes breakfast. Their breakfast buffet on the 6th floor not only is an amazing spread with something for everyone, but it has one of the best views in Rome. Eating breakfast with a view of St. Peter’s Dome, the towers of the church at the Spanish Steps, the old city walls, and the umbrella pines of the Borghese Park was the perfect way to start a day and a cherished memory.

Have not stayed at the Splendide Royal but eaten at the Mirabelle located at the top of the Hotel itself but must say that the interior design and décor was outstanding and if I were to visit Rome again away from the main centre I would definitely be staying at the Splendide Royal.

A beautiful property next to the Villa Borghese Park that our room overlooked. Our room was exquisite with lots of old world charm, space and service. We also had a large bathroom that was beautifully outfitted. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. We made a reservation at their rooftop restaurant, overlooking all of Rome, a 5 star food experience with prices to match. If you don't want to spring for dinner, go for a cocktail as the view will captivate you. With your drink, you will automatically be served complimentary appetizers. Truly a memorable experience!

So welcoming ! Upgraded to gorgeous suite on the fifth floor with terraces outside the bedroom and living area, just unfortunate that the weather was not great. Lovely bed linen, comfy bed and superb furnishings.Great view over Borghese . Excellent breakfast with stunning view over Rome . Gluten free no problem. Ask concierge for some secret Roman spots and they come up trumps every time .
