Reviews for The St. Regis Rome
The hotel is located in a 19th century building and was reopened a year and a half ago after being renovated. Today, renovations are continuing for some of its rooms. It is the hotel where the American singer Madonna stays when she comes to Rome. Here I review their bar / lounge. It is a bright and clean room to the point of shine. The photographs I enclose show you a luxurious and tasteful decor that avoids falling into excess and ostentation. Everywhere you see marble, carpets, crystal chandeliers and mirrors. A circular table provides guests with various fine art books. The bar is called "caelum" (sky) because the ceiling in the center of the room reproduces the blue sky of Rome with some clouds that accentuates the sense of depth. Prices are appropriate to the central location and luxury of the hotel. If you want to take a break in a luxury tea room, in Belle Époque style and in the center of Rome, this place is for you.

Returned to the St. Regis and saw the completed renovations of the lobby area and it looks beautiful! Just wish they could push the rooms renovation and especially the Ritz Ballroom to be completed as soon as possible. However, the renovations are out of their hands as it's a "Historic Building" and needs approval before completing the renovations. I had a group of 75 pax 2 weeks ago and the Ritz Ballroom was not able to be used for our Gala Event. St. Regis took care of our group and we held the event at the Westin Excelsior and EVERYTHING was a great success! This is a class act hotel and amazing staff that ensured the outcome of our event and the satisfaction of all guests were met. Jazmina, Lucia, Claudio, Roberta, Mark, Carmen, everyone is amazing!!!! I strongly recommend the St. Regis and (and adding ...the Westin Excelsior)....hungry and tired? order the Pasta Bolognese from room service....delicious!....we will be back! In Rome this hotel is our favorite, like in Madrid the Gran Melia Fenix.....

This was our second stay at the St Regis in Rome. Our suite was fabulous as was our butler. The service in the rest of hotel was very disappointing especially since last year it was great. The concierge was “cold” and acted as if we were a bother. On a different occasion my husband was asking for help for a tour of St Peters Basilica and the two concierges at the desk offered little to no help. The breakfast buffet is fabulous but if you want a coffee good luck getting a waiter to acknowledge you. There were two waiters working and I made eye contact with both several times. Finally at end of meal I got up and walked over to ask for coffee. Luckily we had ordered coffee with our personal Butler so we had it in our room before we went to breakfast. Numerous times we had returned to hotel after a day trip and the doorman is standing inside the lobby talking with concierge with neither acknowledging or opening door for us This is not the level of service we have come to expect from the St Regis or any 5 star hotel. Although I love the rooms I think next year a new hotel may be on our horizon.

We stayed at The St. Regis Rome in October of this year whilst we were on holiday in Italy. The hotel from the outside looks absolutely majestic and stunning, and once inside it feels like you are in heaven, Roman heaven. The rooms in the hotel are beautiful, and the beds are very comfortable. The service is absolutely first class with wonderful, warm, polite and charming staff. The St. Regis hotel is without any doubt one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in. The Romans may long have gone, but the St. Regis Rome is the new emperor. It was a pleasure staying at this majestic hotel, and can't wait for the next visit!

We really have mixed feelings about our stay. While charming and beautiful and conveniently located, there were too many infrastructure issues for the price. Ongoing construction provided background noise throughout the day, had to run the water for at least 5 minutes to get it hot, the air conditioning in the room was nonexistant, and we got stuck in the amusingly ancient cage elevator. Service was good, but we never received any washcloths, even after two requests to the front desk.
