Reviews for The St. Regis Rome

Excellent hotel with a few minor issues

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

This is truly a five star hotel with generally good service and a wonderfully decorated and roomy hotel room. I also recommend their breakfast which is very good, but the food we had for lunch was not good. I had the duck which tasted like ham and my companion had the monk fish which was tough and tasteless. I don’t recommend dining at the restaurant if they don’t maintain the quality of their food on a consistent basis. However with a few missing like a closed gym for the duration of our stay, lack of water and coffee in the room every day needs to be addressed. Overall I would stay here again the next time I’m in Rome.

I’ve never experienced the customer service that we got at this hotel… Many employees there made us feel like we were the only people in this hotel… All genuine!!

Old world elegance that you rarely see anymore. The service level matches the elegance of this hotel. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you feel pampered. The Front Desk staff, the Bellmen and the Concierge make you feel very special. Thank you to Guillo, Guest Services, Valerio and Kevin in Banquets and Giovanni one of the Butlers for making events and my group feel so special. It is always nice to see the General Manager on the floor, Giuseppe you and your team are great!

Roman Hospitality at its best

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This is a great hotel for any traveller seeking a super comfortable place to rest within reach to all the famous sites. The design of the lobby bar and restaurant was elegant and comfortable and made it easy to relax, especially with the live music performances! The comfortable design was also evident for our suite and the bathroom. The service from the staff was very professional and responsive. Would stay here again next time in Rome.

Very nice stay; great service; good location

The St Regis is pretty well located in Rome, not far from Piazza Del Republica and the main train station, Termini. It is a short walk to Spanish Steps and within 30min walk to the Pantheon and the Coliseum. These can be shorted to 5-10mins in a taxi. There are taxis outside the hotel at all times. We arrived from the airport via Blacklane Car Service. The hotel can also arrange car service via the Concierge if you need it. The travel time was about 45mins in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday. We stayed in a larger room on the 3rd floor overlooking the Piazza. The windows and curtains do an AMAZING job of sound insulation - even with trafffic and activities going on we couldn’t hear any of it!. The room is well air conditioned so it’s your choice to open the windows for air and a little noise or have some quietness. The room was a great size for us and our luggage. There was ample wardrobe space and room for the contents of 2 large suitcases and 2 carry on. The Hotel offers pressing service and laundry, both of which we used and were happy with. The bathroom has a large deep tub, a separate shower and separate toilet. Although only a single vanity, it was fine for 2 people getting ready at the same time. The bed was soft and comfortable. It’s all a matter of preference in how firm you like your mattress. The main room ha da couch and a TV with desk and chair. More than adequate for a few nights We used the concierge to get some recommendations for nearby cafe’s and to book a hair stylist. Again, very happy with the service. The only down service was the room service. We ordered 2 Caesar salads one evening. They were not good. The dish used butter lettuce versus Romaine, the dressing was bland and certainly had no anchovy it, the chicken was bland and there appeared to be ‘shaved’ boiled egg as part of the dish. Perhaps some would like this - it was not to our taste. We would certainly stay here again.
