Hotel Lone

I am happy to recommend Hotel Lone in Rovijn Croatia, a place that has become very special to our family. This was our our third year returning, and it has truly become a destination we look forward to every year. For my grandchildren, Hotel Lone is their favorite place in the world. The wonderful setting, welcoming atmosphere, and memorable experiences have made each visit something they treasure. The beach is amazing, the breakfast exceptional, the accommodations wonderful with air conditioning throughout the hotel. A shoutout to the conceirge staff( Aura, Petra and Josipa). My family has traveled throughout Europe and the conceirge service at the Hotel Lone is by far the highest rated group we've ever worked with. Congratulations to them. I would wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Lone to anyone looking for a beautiful and memorable place to stay in Croatia, especially for families who value exceptional experiences and time together. A true 5 star hotel, luxury at its best. Rooms were huge! The best breakfast ever! Spoilt for choice and cooked well! Bubbly included. All the fine things you would expect from a 5 star accommodation, only thing to be mindful is that hotel is one a collection of hotels, the grounds are massive, so quiet a walk to get to A to B. Not a problem for myself but for people who hate walking or have accessible issues can be challenging , especially as could be quite a steep walk. All in all I say worth every penny. Many hotels claim 5 star but have little to show for it.

Spent 2 weeks in this hotel in Rovinj with my family - top location in Roving, breakfast was amazing. Beach is separate topic - huge and clean. 1 major minus - this isn't 100% pet's friendly hotel as it stated. In breakfast you have only have around 10 tables where you can sit with your dog. Dogs at the beach are not allowed.

Lovely hotel, this is a large hotel with good sized rooms. The reception staff a friendly and speak good English. There were many well behaved dogs which felt strange. It was an extra €40 a night, which I assume goes towards extra cleaning. The common areas and rooms were kept spotless. Breakfast had a lot of options including rice pudding and plum crumble, which was a hit with my sweet toothed teen. There was no toaster though and I do like toast for breakfast. One day there were thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. The E restaurant was fully booked, so we headed up to order room service. We were expecting a long wait, but it arrived in under 30 minutes. The pool area is nice and the Oleander restaurant there serves some lovely food. The beach is pebbles and the sea is shallow and very warm (August 26).

Before booking our holiday, we spent a long time comparing hotels in Rovinj and reading countless reviews. We chose Hotel Lone because of its beautiful design, excellent location, outstanding facilities and exceptional reputation. The hotel exceeded every expectation we had. What truly makes Hotel Lone special is not only its stunning architecture and facilities, but the people behind it. Our 8-day, 7-night family holiday began with an unexpected reservation issue following an unsuccessful payment. Arriving during the peak summer season, when accommodation was extremely limited, we genuinely worried that our holiday might not even be possible. A heartfelt thank you to Petra from the Concierge team. From the moment we arrived that evening, she welcomed us with remarkable kindness, empathy and professionalism. She patiently listened to our concerns, reassured us, and stayed with us throughout the entire process instead of simply telling us there was no booking. The following morning, Petra and Autra greeted us again and presented a thoughtful solution for our entire stay. They arranged accommodation for the first two nights, followed by one night in an accessible room, and finally upgraded us to a beautiful suite for the remaining four nights. The amount of care, coordination and genuine hospitality behind this plan was extraordinary. We would also like to thank Roland from Housekeeping. His warm smile, thoughtful attention to detail and beautifully prepared room each day made us feel truly welcomed. Another highlight was the hotel’s Art & Paint and Ceramic classes. The painting instructor patiently adapted each lesson to every student’s interests, while the ceramic instructor explained every step in detail with incredible patience. Both experiences were relaxing, creative and perfect for families. Problems can happen anywhere. What defines a truly exceptional hotel is how its people respond. Petra, Autra, Roland and the entire Hotel Lone team showed us the kindness and humanity that cannot be captured in photographs. That is the true heart of Hotel Lone, and we would happily return.
