We checked in for a night. Check in was smooth and pleasant although no any extra information given. Disapointment came when we came to our room, it was clerly not well cleaned as there were hairs in the bathroom. I went to the Spa later and was also disapointed as it is already worn out and not comparable with the other otels in this price range. Too expensive and not worthyof 5 star rating.

If design is your thing, then this is definitely your hotel in the region. It has the spaciousness of the Guggenheim Museum and some interesting artistic details on the inside, with a cruise ship exterior. There is direct access to the sea and all the rooms we saw had seaview in someway. One of my friends pointed out that the breakfast area looks like the restaurant corner at IKEA, but people who appreciate designer chairs will enjoy themselves here. The rooms are lovely and spacious with all the usual amenities, the breakfast is delightful (with an adorable low-level table with goodies for the kids) and it's possible to sit outside. Many of the details are very well-done, like having water and fresh fruit outside the gym in the morning, relaxing waterbeds in the wellness area, having fresh fruit juices when you enter breakfast, lounge DJ in the reception area in the afternoon to get people feeling relaxed, having tea In the relax area.... The gardens are lovely and you can walk into town in 20 minutes, to have lunch there or discover the cobblestone streets and many cute stores. We went to the nightclub Saturday evening and the DJ was wonderful and quite good-looking :-) I will definitely come back but suggest the following as room for improvement: - The Wi-Fi barely works in parts of the room, which means you have to sit close to the door to Skype home - The WLAN requires extensive login credentials, which is not practical if you just want to hook your laptop up to the Internet - Like most hotels they suffer from congestion at reception, which means sometimes you have to wait quite a long time to get something as simple as an extra key - The steam room is not very warm, since there are no higher levels, so the only sauna that gets a serious sweat is the Scandinavian one. Both of the hammam and the aroma sauna can be improved in terms of smelling nice. Some of my friends were not happy with the placement of the ice, since it means you're rubbing yourself down naked in full view of all three sauna, which is not handy for the shy among us. - The cleaning ladies were quite loud in the morning, a couple of hours before checkout: letting doors slam and having loud conversations in front of the rooms. - Orange nectar was labeled as juice, which may be a language issue, but with foreign guests it's important that they know whether they are getting juice or nectar with added sugar. So some room for improvement, but all in all quite wonderful and highly recommended.

I was looking for a place for a romantic weekend, is nowhere stated that this is a family hotel. This is information that is missing on website. It is not a relaxing atmosphere and for sure not what you would expect when paying top price. It is too expensive for it offers.

Very nice hotel. Has everything you need. Large, clean rooms, with the great view. Located in green area, next to the wood, yet within the walking distance from the old town of Rovinj. Excellent breakfast. Spa, pool, fitness...
