Monte Mulini was the last stop on our Croatian adventure and we were not disappointed. The hotel is gorgeous and the rooms spacious and really well appointed, big bed, large bathroom, bath, shower, balcony, sofa, desk, tv, air con etc. BEACH AREA The beach area and sun deck get very busy. There were people out booking spaces and putting towels out at 8am :( Be quick. The staff in the sun deck/bar area were extremely helpful but are up against the hotel management who have decided to 'rent' spaces out to non-guests. We were fine every day but we witness a lot of hotel guests having issues. The beach bar is great and the food is just right. Sandwiches, salads etc. The beach is all big pebbles so do yourself a favour and buy some of the 'rock shoes' for €5 in the supermarket. They are AMAZING! The water is gorgeous. HOTEL RESTAURANT The evening we arrived at the hotel we tried to eat at the restaurant which was not even half full but were told we couldn't...they were fully booked. Seemed a little odd and annoying. We had driven for 8 hours that day and just wanted a quick bite. We ended up going into Rovinj for food which was nice but unnecessary. I'm sure a table for two wouldn't have made much difference. BREAKFAST There is everything you could want in the buffet and you can also order off the menu too for eggs and hot stuff. LOCATION The hotel is located on a lovely little bay about 15 minutes walk from the town and next to a nature reserve which is perfect for a morning walk. There is currently a massive resort being built next door and although work had stopped for the summer there are about 6 cranes which are lit up at night and the usual building work gubbins including JCBs etc. You can not see this from the hotel but you will have to walk past it into town. OVERALL We loved the hotel and totally fell in love with Rovinj. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the end but spent our evenings eating our way around town. There are some truly great places to eat and chill out. We can not wait to return. There was also a really good Miro exhibition in town and evening entertainment.

This is a resort-like hotel, which has all the comforts and luxury that one would expect from of a 5-star establishment. While it is within walking distance from the old city, it felt distant to me. Objectively, everything is perfect about this hotel, which oddly made it feel out-of-place in charming Rovinj. The same company is building another lavish monstrosity nearby and you have to basically walk through the construction site to get to the old town. The concierge was extremely helpful and friendly, having recommended several excellent places for dinner. Like everything else in the hotel, the breakfast was amazing. But I felt lost in this place which, though esthetically perfect, felt snobby and without a soul.

First time in Croatia so only a quick week to relax. The staff are excellent in the Monte which matches the view and the facilities. With 5 places to eat from the beach bar to the high end Wine vault we couldn't fault this place. The view over the bay is fab and not spoiled by speed boats or jet bikes. We ventured into Rovinj one night and it was heaving - quick retreat back the calm of the hotel . Very good cocktails! The man with the hawk was tasked with keeping away the seagulls- go figure.

We just left the fabulous hotel this morning after spending two days and two nights visiting Ravinj. Monte Mulini has the best location with beautiful sea view, and equally importantly, the best staff. Rushing out for our morning tour I had asked the restaurant if I can take some boiled Eggs and some yogurt for our children to eat in car (some 5-star hotels won't allow guests to take food out of restaurants or even just up to the room). This nice gentleman said he can help prepare a brunch box with some croissants as well, but will need ten more mins or so. So my daughter and I waited while being served our morning coffee. When he re-appeared shortly after he presented us with the most meticulously packed brunch bags, which was both professionally amazing and touching in his way of servicing customers. Thank you all for a wonderful time!

friendly Service excellent breakfast Fitness in Hotel Lone is good Nice decorated room We had a good time in Hotel Monte Mulini. Only think, which could be optimized: in the beach area - at the bar - many People are sitting with wet bath Closes in the nice seats. Should be changed. Sitting there during the evening "well dressed" is not really funny. We got wet!
