Reviews for Auberge du Soleil
We drove out here for lunch early June before my departure. What a grand finish touch to the west coast with a little drive through Napa and here in Rutherford. The restaurant was packed and we did not make reservation. I wanted to sit out the patio because it was just a beautiful day. The waiter spoke to the Manager and we were seated right away. It was one of the most gorgeous view I've seen. The food, wine, and service was great. Everyone was very polite. It was a lovely brunch. Thank you Auberge du Soleil for accommodating us.

Let me start by saying that the hotel itself is amazing with great views! The welcoming staff was nice. The valet was helpful and friendly as well. However, the resort dining restaurant staff was awful. The hostess was rude to say the least, the service was slow. I was appalled that the customer service at a 5 star restaurant was that horrible. Personally I've had way better service at Applebee's. But, the food was amazing!
A great place to enjoy the nice weather and happy hour. Great service with creative drinks, a nice spot to relax and soak in the great views and nice weather. With any Auberge they are proud of their prices :)

We enjoyed our stay at Auberge and will probably return since there are few very high end options but you really feel like you're paying fully for the experience. The location is convenient and well located for a Napa wine trip. Its a spectacular property built so naturally into its site. The resort is luxurious while still simple, authentically natural and comfortable. The staff, on the other hand, is rather stiff and the service is just ok, especially in the restaurant where you can wait 10 minutes for a second cup of coffee, etc. So it's very nice but at the extremely high prices charged, it would be much nicer if many of the staff didn't make you feel like it was your privilege to be served by them. On the other hand, the front desk staff and the concierge were both terrific.

If you are wanting a quiet and relaxed get away, please look into Auberge du Soleil. It is tucked, almost hidden, in a valley overlooking the Napa Valley. The views in the morning from the restaurant deck are outstanding. We had booked a large suite with a large balcony that had been redone since our last visit here. It did not disappoint. The living room was enormous and very comfortable. The amenities were very nice and included three bottles of wine---red, white and sparkling. A tray of cheese and fruit were waiting for us upon our arrival. The very large master bath---there was a powder room off the living area---had a huge freestanding tub and a shower with a tall and comfortable shower. I had a separate vanity for my makeup area that was next to the double vanity. With drawers and closets everywhere it seemed, we were able to move in and put all our luggage away in no time. We needed to get to the pool and hoped not a thing had changed. We were pleased it was just as spectacular as we remembered! Great staff, delicious food and a bartender that helped us with an aperol sour that I was craving! So yummy! The dining room continues to get our rave reviews! Maggie was our favorite server---so helpful and sweet! If you can drag yourself away from the pool or the deck bar and restaurant, please get a massage/treatment from Evan at the spa! His specialty is water massage---fabulous! He is a wealth of information about the area and a great guy, too! My husband could not lie on his stomach due to a clumsy pacemaker and Evan did his whole massage with him on his back! Great service, as I said. The pools at the spa and the view of Mount Veeder from there is impressive. I hated to leave and we will be back!!
