The staff is extremely attentive, the grounds are phenomenal and the view is breathtaking. This is not a quick stop for a moderate snack. The prices are high, but you get what you pay for. And it's worth every penny. The view is truly breathtaking..... stop in, have a glass of wine and a cheese plate at the least. It is worth every second. The staff was truly lovely and welcoming.

A beautiful stay. Very quiet hotel with beautiful view on the Napa Valley. We had a chance to take our dinner and breakfast outside with the perfect view. The services at the Spa are the best. All the staff hotel was very friendly and very professionnel. We had a wonderful stay.

My husband and I had a delightful quick getaway. We were greeted with personalized and welcoming service. The room had a wonderful view and great amenities. I wish we could have stayed longer! Easily the best place I have ever stayed.

I have been to many 5 star resorts and have always left with some negatives/criticism. The Auberge however was incredible and I cannot think of even the smallest critique. Literally everything down to the smallest detail was perfect. We arrived at 3 and were greeted with champagne. Our room was ready immediately and there was free parking on property right outside of our room. The property itself is small but intimate. We stayed in one of the Arles rooms which was absolutely stunning. I believe it may be one of the updated rooms. The room is spacious with a walk in closet, balcony, and separate bathroom/toilet. Overall it was extremely inviting/relaxing, but what really separates this property is their attention to detail. We loved the added touches in the room like complimentary yoga mats, umbrellas, robes, and toiletries. There was also a complimentary nespresso machine, mini fridge stocked with drinks, and complimentary snacks (chocolate, nuts, granola bars, etc). Turndown every night included a tray of local chocolate almonds, and there was even fresh fruit in the room stocked daily. The pool has towel service, fresh fruit and snacks, and even has portable chargers if you need to charge your phone. There are complimentary fitness classes every day, and an array of Mercedes you can rent (complimentary) for up to 4 hours. The hotel goes above and beyond to make your room feel like home. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was incredible. The meal is served in the main restaurant so you are treated as you would all other patrons. You can choose anything you want off the menu (outside of alcohol I believe) and everything we ordered was better than the next. We also ate dinner one night at the main restaurant and were awe struck at the views. Service was equally as incredible. Everyone was beyond accommodating to our every request. I realized I forgot my facial cleanser on the first day and the woman at the spa made me a little to go cup as I wasn’t checking a bag. Truly a wonderful experience and will 100% be returning time and time again.

This hotel is part of Relais and Chateaux. The grounds are nice to walk around once. The views of the valley and vineyards below from the bar/ restaurant are just lovely. Auberge Soleil is very well known to the people in Napa and California generally because there is not another that exists in this part of California like it. They love it and $1,000 a night is considered a bargain not to be missed! Being seasoned users of R&C establishments in France I suppose the benchmark may have been a little higher for us since this establishment is modelled on exactly those type of resorts which were born in Europe and evolved along with the partnering of gourmet/ Michelin dining with high end accommodation. Perhaps that is why we felt that this resort sadly fell short of being the real Mcoy. Main points in this respect: - more staff is needed for the busy times at lunch/ dinner when crowds descend on the hotel to visit for a meal because hotel guests get no priority for e.g.. with the valets (who understandably would find it challenging to remember who is a guest and who is not) ie. hotel guests are in adversely affected - again this also affects seating times since again, hotel guests do not get priority nor is there a reservations list at the bar for lunch for hotel guests- it is just a first come first served without apology or concern - the gym should be refurbished and updated and a room found where it can be housed indoors since working out in 30 degrees C is unpleasant if impossible - more care should be taken to control mosquitoes etc., - the constant smell of rotten eggs in the bathroom should be a cause for concern. It is not good enough to say "sorry but you are in an area where the earth is sulphur rich and releases this smell- let me know if it gets worse.." - it is bad enough and should not need to get worse. Other establishments in Napa somehow kept this under control so why not the 'finest' which we thought we had picked- or at least offer to change our room to one that doesn't smell if there is one such - the main issue we had was noise. The room we stayed in had rooms above below and next-door. There was constant banging (how it sounded to us if someone entered the room or opened a closet) and you could even hear the vacuum if the room was occupied. The second night the guests left and only then it was quiet and generally the daytime when people were out was quieter. Infact all the rooms have neighbours so if you are there for the peace and tranquility and also on another time zone as we were then forget it. During our 4 night stay (which we decided to shorten due to these issues) I asked daily for a change of room to one with fewer neighbours and despite availability online and my offering to send screenshots the hotel claimed there were none available or responded with complete denial that the problem exists - what can you do in such a situation except check out? But despite the above I can say we enjoyed our stay when it was quiet in the day times we had a lot of room service and it was top notch- nothing was too much trouble to fix/ get and the whole food and beverage part of the experience was super. Breakfast at the terrace was beautiful and the waiting staff incredibly attentive. Housekeeping was also thorough. And the room itself was well appointed with generous bathroom size with all the usual amenities and towels being soft. It was also nice to enjoy the generous sized terrace in the day although less so in the evening due to mosquitoes. Its also nice that the resort is set back from the main road and this adds to the sense of privacy and quiet for which such resorts are known. When we visit Napa again we would stay elsewhere because this hotel does not in our view reach the standard it is modelled on from an accommodation POV but definitely we would visit here for lunch/ dinner We stayed in the 'St Tropez' building with the "garden view" room.
