With its steepled roof, traditional carillon and symbolic cross, it would be easy to mistake Aranwa Sacred Valley as a place of worship. A jagged Peruvian mountaintop serves as the backdrop for this property, located in Urubamba, about a 30-minute drive from Cusco. Built on a plot of land where an 18th-century colonial hacienda once stood, this riverside hideaway, features a collection of historically-inspired rooms coupled with modern elements and a minimalist design. Architectural excellence abounds at every turn, from the glass-covered orchid pyramid to the 24-seat on-site theater.

I got a fantastic massaged by Marlene at the Unno Spa and after walking in excess of 20,000 steps per day for the past week on my vacation, she made the ache in my legs go away. I highly recommend getting a massage at the Unno Spa to make life good again

What a beautiful place! The grounds are immaculate, the rooms are gorgeous and the staff is awesome. We had a great meal in the restaurant and Fabio was our server. He was helpful in our selection of fine cuisine and a wonderful server. A great attitude and very positive reflection on this hotel.

Takes poor sound insulation to a whole new level. Isolated location, very expensive, but with nods towards high quality. Room well laid out and very large. Main quibble was we were separated from our neighbours by a single thin connecting door. Although locked the gaps all round did provide us with the misfortune of hearing everything our neighbours did, said, or even thought. They might as well have been in the same room. A major issue for a hotel tilting at the windmills of exclusivity and privacy - and a significant issue to me personally. I actively resent my privacy being so intrusively and unnecessarily invaded. Would not remotely consider staying again. Might as well go camping. Lying in a damp field with half a millimetre of canvas between me and my neighbours would be luxury by comparison.

The resort is really beautiful with an amazing garden, gym, pool, spa, restaurant, bar and everything you need for a relaxing stay in the Sacred Valley. The staff was so friendly and helped you perfectly in all situations! A special thanks to Lucia, Nelson and Alfred for their true friendlyness and perfect service! It's so beautiful to meet such wonderful people which are so kind and very professional the same time! Many thanks!
