This is an old hotel, which I factored into the review, but it still needs updating. Funny smell in the upstairs halls (moldy). Room was adequate and staff is friendly. Extremely long and winding hall to get to our room (part of the quirks of an old hotel), so I would request a room closer to the elevator if you have mobility issues. Great location and good Starbucks in the lobby.

I decided to bring my mother here to celebrate her 75th birthday. Allie, the concierge, was so helpful and set up champagne with chocolate dipped strawberries and a sweet birthday card in the room before we arrived. My mother loved it! This is a beautiful hotel with many amenities. The pool is beautiful and you can order food and drinks to be delivered to it. The entire hotel is gorgeous. I enjoyed sitting by the fountain. The free sangria is a nice touch and the use of the beach club can't be beat. Beautiful view from the room. You must stay here!

Really enjoyed my trip and all the history of the hotel as well as the town itself. The hotel is beautiful, staff is friendly, and the food & drinks was as well. I definitely recommend and will visit again.

This was our first visit to St. Augustine and we were looking for a good hotel near downtown. This hotel proved to be in a perfect location and a short walk to anywhere we wanted to go. It has a lot of old charm, a great staff, and very comfortable rooms. We will definitely be coming back.

we did like our stay here. wish we had asked for a room closer to the elevator.. we both have mobility issues & there is a lot of walking. the rooms are nicely decorated & the bathroom is big. a fridge would have been nice. we did feel the room was a bit small.....for the price. we did have a tasty light bite in the bar. we hadn't planned on the dress code. the hummus & serrano ham pizza were both so good. would have liked to have taken what we couldn't finish. the pool area is a little oasis.
