we did like our stay here. wish we had asked for a room closer to the elevator.. we both have mobility issues & there is a lot of walking. the rooms are nicely decorated & the bathroom is big. a fridge would have been nice. we did feel the room was a bit small.....for the price. we did have a tasty light bite in the bar. we hadn't planned on the dress code. the hummus & serrano ham pizza were both so good. would have liked to have taken what we couldn't finish. the pool area is a little oasis.

Room was overpriced, stayed for considerably less in 4 stars in Nice, Amsterdam , Frankfurt etc al. Reception staff pretentious and condescending. Restaurant staff is excellent. Good food and superb service. A bit pricey.

Well the property is beautiful. The first night was fine, food and service in the restaurant was excellent, service in the bar was the same. Second night the hotel had a couple of weddings going on and the hotel forgot about its other guest. That evening we went to the bar and sat at a table and got ignored, the waitress looked at us a couple of times but did not come over finally I got up and went to the bar and ordered my parties drinks and after our second round of drinks that I got she finally came over and asked if we needed anything. I told her we were taking care of ourselves being she ignored us and she told us she was too busy. As if that wasn’t enough when we got back to our room which backed up to the pool area on the second floor (bedroom window) there was a note that the pool area would be closed from 7:00 to 10:00 for a private event (wedding reception) That was OK because we weren’t going to bed until 10:00 well by 10:00 pm the music was so loud we could not sleep so we called and complained along we several other guests on that floor. The music was turned down for about 30 mins and then went back to full volume. Complained again and it was turned down for about 30 mins and back to full volume until midnight. Obviously, they cater to weddings and not their regular guest. I will not ever stay here again or recommend this place to anyone. We checked out the next morning and when to another hotel.

My husband and I stayed at the Casa Monica Resort for our 49th wedding anniversary and absolutely loved it. The dining accommodations were phenomenal. Valet parking solved the difficulties of finding parking in St. Augustine, Florida for all of the attractions we wished to tour. The staff was amazing, even brought up complimentary champagne for our first night at the resort. This resort is walking distance to all of the historical St. George Street attractions and close to a miniature golf course and the Castillo de San Marco. We walked most of the time we were there, enjoying the sunshine and the ocean breeze. Excellent service, excellent staff, excellent food, excellent location.

This hotel was very charming and loaded with history, it put you back in time. The breakfast was excellent, the customer service was also very nice. We enjoyed the pool and local customs. The rooms were very beautiful and had that castle feel.
