About the Hotel
Pirates used to be a major concern for The Buccaneer – in the 17th Century, the great house had to be hidden in thick vegetation far from the eyes of roving marauders. A Danish baron turned it into a sugar mill in the 1700s, and in 1947 the Armstrong family opened small hotel where guests – called “continentals” – would make their own drinks and help rake the beach. In the years that followed, Lauren Bacall, Michael Jackson and Johnny Carson all graced the hotel register. Recall The Buccaneer’s colorful past with bright, traditionally appointed guestrooms and a bar menu of classic cocktails – Cruzan Confusion, anyone?

A Five-Star Experience
A Five-Star Experience I had the pleasure of staying at The Buccaneer for two nights after being relocated from another property, and it completely turned my trip around. From the moment I stepped out of the taxi, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality. The property is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and the service was outstanding from beginning to end. It truly exemplifies the level of service and attention to detail you hope for when staying at a luxury resort. (Buccaneer Resort) A special thank you to Fitzgerald for his warm welcome and friendly transportation around the resort, Elisa in Front Office Operations for making my arrival seamless, and Peter, my taxi driver, whose kindness and local knowledge made getting around St. Croix easy and enjoyable. The Buccaneer exceeded my expectations in every way. It was the perfect ending to my vacation, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

BOOK IT… you won’t regret it!!!
We live in St Croix, but won a weekend stay at a silent auction at a recent charity event. From the booking process, check in, the stay, meals, and the service, the Buccaneer exceeded all expectations. First of all, the property is absolutely beautiful, well maintained, and expansive. The history of this resort is incredibly admirable. We had the absolute best time during our Friday-Sunday stay… so much we were sad to leave. We would highly recommend this resort to any travelers coming to visit. The beaches are beautiful, water is amazing and the pool option by Beauregard’s was one of our favorite places to lay. The room was absolutely perfect. There was nothing that didn’t exceed our expectations. We would love to stay there again!! This will be my favorite auction item to bid on going forward!!! Book the trip….you won’t be sorry.

Lovely place to stay
We stayed at the Buccaneer as part of our family trip to St Croix. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Nice restaurant and beach bar near the pool and beautiful beach.

You will not regret your stay!
Excellent hotel, amenities and staff. Food was also wonderful. Beaches and pools were immaculate and our room had a beachfront view. Hotel experiences like fire dancing and welcome reception were so great. Everyone was helpful and service was excellent. We will definitely be back!

The Buccaneer in St. Croix was a place of casual elegance. We had an excellent waterfront room. The courteous staff sought to ensure our every need was met. The food was wonderful and the views are breathtaking.

Beautiful, clean, eloquent, great servive and beautiful golf course. I'd love to go back again and again. The people were friendly, helpful and patient. This is indeed the place to stay whenever visiting St. Croix!
