We just enjoyed 3 awesome days at Red Mountain adventure spa resort in St George Utah. We will definitely return! Our first morning started with an awesome breakfast buffet with many healthy options. The latte was an extra charge but was really good. The yogurt with strawberry had a very European taste and texture, a huge treat. After breakfast we took a van ride with our hiking guide into snow canyon where we enjoyed a 3 hour epic hike ending at an keyhole slot overlook. Edwardo, our guide was great! After returning to the resort we enjoyed the lunch buffet, which again was loaded with uber healthy food. We decided to grab a courtesy bike and head up the road to tonichan. More on the bikes later. After the 5 mile bike ride we hit the pool and hot tub followed by another short hike around the resort ending at the on site restaurant. The evening meals were not buffet style but perfectly proportioned. My NY strip was tasty and completed the open salad bar options. The first day was awesome in every measure. The outdoor adventure was balanced with the excellent food and casual recreation options. At the end of the first day, my wife and I had spent more time together than any day in the last 16 years. How do you put a price on that. Day two also started with an epic 4 peaks hike in snow canyon. We got back to the resort with just enough time for a quick rinse off followed by perfect massages. Before we enjoyed a dip in the heated pool we stopped by the lunch buffet for a very healthy lunch. The program we enjoyed was all inclusive, with only spa treatments and specialty beverages as an upcharge. The clientele during our stay arrived from all over the USA as well as Europe with Red Mountain as the destination. Although we stayed for just Friday thru Sunday most visitors seemed to be enjoying longer stays. The morning hikes should not be missed. The experience and scenery was top grade and it gave you a chance to meet other guest who signed up for the same hike. The guided morning hikes were different each day and each hike was geared toward different abilities from beginner explorer to mid level challenger to expert intense. All three were fun with the intense being more adventurous with fewer breaks. The resort offers several packages from traditional hotel room (dated) to all inclusive spacious villas that appear to be brand new. Our one bedroom villa included a huge bathroom, oversized deck that opened into a separate optional relaxing area including second fireplace, huge couch area with tv, second bathroom. On the other side of the center relaxing room was a lockout second bedroom with two beds. All three decks connected with outdoor dining table for 4, reclining loungers and relaxing chairs with wine table. The decks overlooked the villa pool and hot tub which was secluded and very quite. During each hike we met other guests and I was surprised to discover how many single guest booked weeklong visits at the resorts, this was awesome. We overheard some of them planning a next trip together. For adventure, extremely healthy food and perfect spa treatments red mountain resort is a top pick. I would certainly encourage you to upgrade to the new villa side of the resort for extra wow factor if budget allows, if not still enjoy the excellent amenities this resort provides. Keep in mind St George get very hot July through August so for perfect hiking temps, spring and fall are better. In mid November we departed for the morning hike wearing puffy coats but were in t shirts by lunch and swim suits soon after. Our November trip was perfect in every measure. The staff was amazing. Every contact we had was exceptional from check in to housecleaning to restaurant host and wait staff to hiking guides and spa. We were pleasantly surprised when we checked in at 10 PM to be presented a dining care bag with two amazing and tasty salads - a HUGE first impression detail. Every property has room for improvement and I always like to leave a short unsolicited wish list for management to explore. With the miles of excellent groomed paved and dirt bike trails near Red Mountain resort I would encourage upgrading the bike fleet to also include full suspension mountain bikes and electric bikes. The current courtesy bikes are traditional cruiser style gear bikes without front or rear suspension and this bikes pound your body hard on the bumps. The biking world is evolving to electrics and a fleet of electric cruisers could easily float to the top of the "don't miss" list. Team Red Mountain, thank you for a wonderful experience and thank you for supporting Rotary.

Words can't even express how wonderful my stay was at Red Mountain Resort. The entire experience completely exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I landed and got in the airport shuttle and arrived at the property to the tearful moment when it took me to my return flight, I soaked up every single second in its beautiful setting. The accommodations were spotless (some of the best sleep I've had in a looooong time) and there was so much adventure and rejuvenation to partake in amidst spectacular red rocks. Every meal was so delicious and nutritious, the spa was beyond heavenly and each member of the staff exuded kindness and 5-star service. I left completely moved by the magic and hospitality of Red Mountain Resort and was so extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to spend my birthday there. I look forward to revisiting at least once a year as Red Mountain Resort is simply THE BEST in every regard.

My husband and I went to have a healthful and relaxing anniversary trip. Be advised I've stayed in a lot of resorts and hotels, and this was not my first fitness-oriented vacation so I'm probably a harsher judge than other reviewers. I don't mean to be so- just feel like reviews are so critical to setting expectations before YOU go... The resort is really pretty and Snow Canyon State Park is right there, so very convenient for hiking and biking. We were satisfied overall, and felt like we got to really be active and eat well. We chose the hike to Angel's Landing as our own personal "Pinnacle Experience" and it was truly amazing. The room- It was clean and sufficient for us, but a little dated and small. I don't want to dwell on this aspect since you really don't spend that much time there. The workout facilities- good, plentiful equipment and large group exercise rooms. Floors could use a cleaning, and some yoga mats honestly need replacing. Group exercise instructors were all really great. They are really well steeped in their profession, and have TONS of experience. Loved Rebekah's Core and Arms classes. The food- very decent and plentiful. Healthful, and lots of variety. Obviously a well-thought-out menu. I'd really love if the restaurant could open at 6:00am rather than 6:30am, especially for adventures where we have to meet up at 7:00am. The 6:30 time frame does cause it to be a little bit hard to get (a second cup of) coffee and breakfast and get to the van in time. I was up early each day (around 5:00am) due to having traveled from the east and the time-zone change, and would've really loved to have some coffee and watch the sunrise. Hiking and adventure guides- these people are the crown jewels of this resort. They make the experiences so fun, safe, and enjoyable. All were personable, sweet, and wanting to share info about this gorgeous and geologically interesting part of Utah. Nicole, Dave W, Eduardo, and of COURse Sierra- hiiii!! Thank youuuuu! Spa- wonderful. Loved using the pool and hot tub and steam room. Didn't buy any services- too busy- but did enjoy a little time there. I'd definitely do it again. You get to meet all sorts of people on this type of vacation. And that part makes it fun and interesting. We really enjoyed the crisp air and beautiful setting. Be advised- you should call and or email concierge to schedule ALL events. Dinners, hikes, yoga, spa services, and adventures- ALL the things. Do this at least a week before you go. Especially for bike rides- they'll have to rent bikes for you is you're going for a 'bigger' ride, and so you can't just walk into those activities. Seriously. Do schedule your trip there, you'll enjoy it, but make sure you don't just show up on the arrival day without having already scheduled most of your activities. (And that's true of most of these types of resorts, not just Red Mountain.)
