I recently returned to Grenada to assist my daughter in packing up her apartment for the move back to the states. Having had a great stay at Mount Cinnamon last October, I decided to give it another try and I'm glad I did. As with my stay in October, this stay was fantastic too. Great location, beautiful facilities, good food and above all, a great staff. Without exception, each and every member are friendly, helpful and do everything to insure guests are taken care of. Their attention to detail is refreshing.

This place is really very good. We had what I think is one of the lower end rooms (Hacienda Suite), but it was huge. The bedroom alone was larger than we've had on the past few holidays, but we also had a large living area, kitchen, and two big bathrooms. Also there was adequate hanging space for clothes, which is often not the case when you arrive equipped for a week. The main part of the hotel is a bit limited in facilities but you won't be spending much time there - I didn't see anyone in the pool the entire week we were there. Everyone was down at the beach cabana which is the real attraction of Mount Cinnamon. It's a short walk from the main building - through the hotel's own grounds - and it's terrific. We could always find shade, there's a great bar and the lunches are very good indeed. Pricey, but so is all of Grenada. The beach there is not very busy at all, very sandy and slopes nicely into the obligatory crystal clear turquoise water. There is a good selection of cook to order choices from breakfast, but the buffet is a bit sparse. Savvys is fine for dinner, but several equally good or slightly better options are available options available if you are prepared to take a taxi. The staff are delightful, very friendly and helpful as many other reviewers have commented. According to Tripadvisor, rooms are around £150 which is really sensational value, when you consider the size of the rooms and the fact that Grenada is quite pricey. One or two minor issues. We arrived at about 5.00 pm after a long trip from the UK. We had booked dinner for that night so we could eat early and crash but on arrival we were told that the whole restaurant had been booked for a wedding. We'd been booked into another nearby restaurant for dinner, which was fine, but we had no choice where we went and ended up getting to bed much later than we'd have liked. In fairness though we had a 2.45pm transfer going back, and they let us keep the room till 2.30 with no extra charge, which effectively gave us an extra day on the beach. This was very much appreciated. The curtains are very thin, and don't keep the room dark. We normally sleep late on holiday but were woken each morning at about 5.30 by the light. Thicker curtains or shutters would be a good idea. Overall though a fantastic experience, and exceptional value for money.

By far, staying at Mount Cinnamon was a highlight of our trip to Grenada. As soon as we walked into the lobby, we were greeted with a huge smile! We were then introduced to General Manager Mark who provided the warmest welcome we have ever received in our worldly travels. (The complimentary rum punch was a nice touch too!) Our villa (2-bedroom/3-bath) was absolutely wonderful! The reverse floor plan was perfect since the downstairs bedrooms kept cooler. A/C throughout, full kitchen and then having a cookie personally delivered each night was fun. The beach cabana restaurant was a great place to have lunch and Carib's (beer) while enjoying the beautiful beach/water. Sailing the (complimentary) Hobie Cat around the bay was so much fun and we never had to wait in line. Aside from the obvious incredible views, the STAFF is what had the biggest impact on us. They provided service like none other that we have received in the Caribbean. Mark, Shauna, Janice and the rest, all get 5-Stars from us. They gave us a nice bottle of champagne & cake for our anniversary and then surprised me with a birthday cake! Read other reviews and you will see the same pattern - Wonderful staff at a beautiful property. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

If you are looking for a resort to host your wedding in Grenada, Mount Cinnamon is perfect. I recently had my wedding here, and the resort provided more for us than we could have imagined. First. the grounds are immaculate. I visited a few resorts, and only Mount Cinnamon possessed the picturesque grounds that we were looking for. From the ceremony, to the dinner at Savvy's, to the reception, everything was so well-suited for the occasion. Second, the suites are unreal, and you will be assured you picked the best resort on Grand Anse beach when you see them. I was able to stay in two suites, 1C and 12, and both provided gorgeous layouts, and amazing balconies with breath-taking views of the ocean. Lastly, the staff is incredible, and I was truly impressed by their professionalism. Make sure you speak with Carlene. She was extremely accommodating, the master planner behind our wedding, and we are very thankful for all that she did. Wedding bias aside, when I think back to Grenada, I will think of my stay at Mount Cinnamon because it provided a truly genuine display of Grenada and all that the island offers. Also important, the resort is close to a mall, restaurants, and a fantastic beach bar called Umbrellas that is a short beach walk away.

I can't say enough positive things about the staff at Mount Cinnamon, as I'm sure you'll read in many other reviews as well. Let me start by saying, my husband and I won this trip through a Delta Vacations contest, and we couldn't be happier that we did! We had airfare and 7 nights accommodations at Mount Cinnamon. We were there April 29- May 06, 2017. We chose our dates due to our Anniversary. This is during the dry season and appears to be less busy. Very laid back atmosphere. No crowded beach with tourists; seems more secluded. They put us in a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom villa with a beautiful view! We stayed in Villa 8. Full kitchen, living area and 2 balconies; one off the living area, and one off the master bedroom. I wish I could remember every single staff members' name the way they remembered ours! Mark is the GM and greeted us along with Shauna ( both super helpful and awesome as well) and a rum punch upon arrival. Lincoln is the gardener! He came to our villa twice during our stay with coconuts that he picked. He cut them open for us to drink. What a special treat! Judy, Ashlyn, and everyone else were great as well. I really can't believe I can't recall their names 😔 ( so sorry.) Someone please tell me the names of our other servers and the lady with glasses who also helped us so much!! The staff really make this place amazing. We had no issues with our accommodations. We did a couples massage one day, which was great. We did a snorkeling tour one day, also great. My biggest recommendation would be to take an underwater camera with you because we couldn't find one anywhere!! The staff made numerous calls to everywhere they could think of to help us try to find one. We did our tour with First Impressions because it offered more bang for the buck (roundtrip transportation, beers, rum punch, sandwiches) and went to the underwater sculpture park that we wanted to see, however, Dive Grenada next to the resort has an underwater rental camera for a fee and they'll send you photos, only if you're booked with them. The resort arranged a full day tour for us, $280 U.S. dollars for the both of us total, with a gentleman named Chris. Fantastic and very knowledgeable man. We saw a lot! There was a complimentary bottle of champagne from the staff in our room on our Anniversary ❤. The inclusive breakfast was perfectly fine for us each day. The Ribeye at dinner was to die for! I don't eat seafood but my husband enjoyed all of his meals and said the King Fish (it was catch of the day that day) was the best meal he's ever had. I had the Ravioli starter twice, and loved it! I'm rambling, I know, but there's so much information to give! Bottom line, the resort is smaller, beautiful, and relaxing. The staff exceeded our expectations each day we were there. They had 2 manager's cocktail hours while we were there, and a Friday night bonfire on the beach with drummers and smores, dinner and drinks for purchase. Sedrick took us out on the Hobie Cat and we loved it! (Free of charge.) There are also paddle boards and kayaks to use free of charge. Nightly turndown service with yummy "goodnight" cookies on our bed each night. Walking distance to a grocery store. Housekeeping did a super job daily and there's security on site. We chose to wall up and down the hill to and from our villa each time except once, but they will take you by cart if you need. Thank you so much, Mount Cinnamon for such a lovely vacation! I truly hope we can come back and visit one day and bring our family. You have a special place. A hidden gem ❤.
