Exceptional Experience, Exquisite Food, Gorgeous Beach, Island Vibes

My wife and kids (14 and 16) visited for our winter holiday in February - a great time to escape New York's harsh winters. We love to visit new and 'best kept secrets' vs. trendy and touristy resorts. Mount Cinnamon was everything and more! We did half board (breakfast and dinner) and it was perfect. The food was exceptional; think jerk chicken, grilled catch of the day, seafood taco's all coved with Barron's habanero hot sauce (for those that like spice!) 🌶️ And for the sweet tooth - chocolate cheesecake and nutmeg ice cream! In fact, nutmeg everything / divine. The staff becomes family immediately; evidenced by many return visitors on a first name basis. Excellent rustic cross fit gym with Peleton bikes and treadmill. Coach Mario always there to help - and a great way to mix with local fitness enthusiasts. (We went each morning to get the blood flowing.) Rooms are very comfortable - a bit dated - but the views are what we lived for. (And how do we ever now vacation without washer/dryer - huge win!) Savvy's on the beach is everything you could ever want in a beach bar doling amazing tropical drinks (NA friendly), ice cold Caribe beer and delectable beach eats. And a supremely majestic beach staffed with super helpful attendants to set up chairs and get you comfortable for a day of.....nothing. Pristine beach (top 30 in the world, so the guides say.) Fine white sands and turquoise waters. And on windy days, perfect waves to enjoy. Laura was our manager contact and extremely attentive for all of our needs. She went out of her way for us / making us feel like the only guests; albeit they were fully booked! It's island time, so meals are long and slow, but the wait and the people always make up for it. You are there to relax - enjoy it all! We will be back for sure - still gleaming (and peeling ☀️).

Mount Cinnamon is a winner!

Our family of 4 took our first trip to Grenada and we really lucked out at Mount Cinnamon! The location is perfect, on the quiet end of beautiful Grand Anse beach but close to restaurants and shops. The villa that we stayed at was spacious and well equipped with a stunning view to boot. Most of all we loved the warm hospitality of the staff, who were always very helpful and accommodating. It might not be the fanciest hotel on the island but it is certainly the most charming!

Enjoyable stay in a beautiful resort

We spent a most enjoyable week at Mount Cinnamon and would not hesitate to stay again. Our Cinnamon Suite was spacious and well appointed and had superb views. It was only a short walk up the hill from reception, though the less mobile can always take the transport provided. Meals at both the main and beach restaurants were very good and Laura and all her staff were very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the entertainment at the well attended Friday bonfire night at the beach. Ideally we would have liked a wider choice of fruit at breakfast, but we appreciated that there are limitations on what is available in season. The beach is lovely, there is plenty of shade and an artificial reef 50 metres off shore for snorkellers to visit.

Wonderful boutique hotel

We spent an excellent few days at the Mount Cinnamon. The reception team were very welcoming and the hotel was run by a superb manager called Laura who was very helpful and accommodating. Brilliant view from bedroom, excellent food and only a short walk down to a beautiful beach with a great beachside restaurant. We also appreciated the games on the lawn near the beach. For the less mobile, the hotel is built on a steep hill, so it is a sharp climb up to your room if you have a room at the top! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely room but not suitable for elderly

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Beware choosing the Cinnamon Suites unless you are very fit. They are at the very top of the property, a very steep climb. The shuttle is not available on Sunday mornings , leaving me stranded (I have a respiration problem). The rooms are lovely but no sanitary bin for personal waste items, and no laundry list or bag. It is apparently outsourced and it was clearly an unusual request . The food is good and the beach is nice but felt more 3 star than 4 star. On the weekends the constant noise of local music "boom boom"from the town below until 11 pm was unbearable. The local agents St James were hopeless and rude. We won't be rushing back.

“Mount Cinnamon located in St.Georges, Grenada is a lovely & charming hillside property with magnificent views of turquoise water and ivory sand. The most picturesque harbor is the daily backdrop. Staffed with attentive and friendly folks that seem more like family then employees. The villas are tastefully decorated and roomy. The food was scrumptious! The only down side - because of the hillside location - it is ideal to be in good physical shape. For us, we used the "climb" to our room as our excuse for not using the gym!"
