Mount Cinnamon Resort & Beach Club

A fabulous relaxed resort. We had a great 2 bed Villa with superb views across the bay. Very clean. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food and drink (especially the rum punch!) were very good within the resort and there are a few good restaurants in the local area that the resort shuttle will take you to for a very nominal charge, Brisa Mar and the Umbrella Bar (classic casual beach place) were our favourites. Note that the resort is on a hillside with steep slopes and steps. So walking up after the beach or dinner can be a slog, but there is the shuttle on call. Just worth bearing in mind. Also you have to remember you are on island time when it comes to service. Very occasionally it was slow even by island standards! Grenada is a lovely laid back and beautiful island to visit and I would highly recommend this resort.

Mount Cinnamon is truly a little slice of paradiseabove Grand Anse beach, with breathtaking views. Lunch at Savvy’s Beach Cabana was a highlight every single day — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the sound of the sea. The resort offers complimentary yoga several times a week, which adds such a peaceful rhythm to your stay, and the gym is very well equipped — with Mario there to welcome you with the biggest smile and great energy. And let’s talk about the rum punch… simply the best on the island (and yes, I’ve done my research 🍹). What truly makes Mount Cinnamon shine is the team — a special thank you to Rondell, Markyah, and Joshua at the front desk, who were absolutely splendid and made every moment feel effortless and warm. Already dreaming of coming back

The reviews are all spot on: amazingly unique and authentic property with ridiculously great views from the rooms. Food is top notch from the included breakfast (room service option), restaurant and Savvy’s on the beach. Don’t think twice - book it and prepare to enjoy! Somewhat unrelated- lost my wedding ring in the sand being foolish. Once notified, the GM Nikki put her team to work, helping search the area. She even called in a metal detector to aid in the search. This was way above and beyond and took hours away from their other responsibilities. In the end it was found and we are truly grateful to her, Laura and the rest of the team.

Needed a quick solo reset and had to come back to my favorite place on earth. Every time I visit, it’s the same amazing staff and they actually remember me, which just makes it feel like home. Rondell greets you at check in, so welcoming and sets the tone right away! The views at breakfast are unreal, the rooms are super cozy, and the whole vibe is just warm and easy. Honestly feels like a little slice of heaven.

Having stayed at the hotel for 10 days, overall we really enjoyed our time at The Mount Cinnamon. Our suite was comfortable, spacious with lovely sea views from our veranda over the bay. The housekeeping was excellent, the staff in the reception were very friendly and helpful and the availability of the hotel shuttle was a real bonus. However, sadly this was all very much let down let down by the quality of some of the dishes served in the restaurant and beach bar as well as the often disappointingly erratic and slow restaurant service. For us the final straw was when we waited well over an hour for our simple lunchtime order, only to find when the food arrived that the shrimps in the taco were cold, undercooked and soggy. When we commented to the waitress that the dish was basically inedible and told her we wanted to cancel the taco, the only comment received was “okay.” No apology was offered from the server or her manager for the long delay and the inedible dish. From discussion with other guests, we found much the same level of dissatisfaction with the slow service. Given our experience, we were, therefore, surprised by the many completely positive reviews of this aspect of the hotel. Sadly, without significant improvement in the kitchen and the speed of service, we cannot rate the hotel as highly as we would otherwise have done.
