The "shabby chic" is mostly shabby. We were given no information about the breakfast, wifi, and other services by the one hipster check in person. We had to haul our own luggage. Noisy plumbing. All for $1100 a night. The highlights: good location and a helpful concierge. Will not return.

The Harvest Inn has beautiful grounds , well manicured that extend to the field of wines.....benches and sitting areas through out the property allows for quiet, relaxing time. The 2 small swimming pools gives you a feeling of being somewhere in Tuscany......the rooms are large and the bathrooms are huge with modern Mediterranean style! The staff is extremely efficient...my husband mentioned while we were checking in that it was our anniversary and within seconds of being in our room, a bottle of champagne with anniversary note was delivered to our room. The inn is next door to the Hall Winery, a very modern, awards winning Winery. It is a bit too far for a walk to St Helena town , but I believe that the inn offers bicycles.....please keep in mind that the town's restaurants close at 9:00 pm....

Well I am sure there are plenty of good reviews about this place, however this one is not. Arrived for a weekend stay ($1900) which was paid up front a month in advance. Never had a hotel charge you before you arrived!! Upon our arrival the staff was a bit indifferent and didn't advise us of any events going on. We later talked to another guest who advised us of a wine tasting for guests the evening of our first stay. We dined off site the first evening and returned for desert at the Charle Palmer restaurant. We arrived to the dining area (8:30p) and were told we "could sit in the bar area." There was one couple in the entire dining area. We were "escorted" from the dining area in our opinion by a rude staffer. It was clear they didn't want to provide the "exceptional service" we were told about. We promptly left- no desert- our room had been serviced nicely except there were no wine glasses for our wine which are normally supplied. The pool area lacked towels for guests which are normally provided. I could go on but you get the point. There was nothing exceptional about our stay other than the cost. There are many other places to stay in Napa, this will not be one of them on our next visit.

This was a cute spot for a pretty good value centrally located to some of the best wineries in Napa Valley. They had a couple nice pools, a great restaurant, and best of all, it was very quiet. To my knowledge, all the rooms on the property looked like single-story "cottage" style. Beautiful tall trees help provide shade when it gets hot (which is most of the summer). I'd stay here again!

We had a room with a balcony overlooking the vineyards. The room was large and had a fireplace, which we did not use as it was hot outside. The only problem with our room was that it was next to the before and after dinnner outside gathering place. A little noisy when we were trying to read. This was a Vineyard Collection room. Would recommend a room farther away from the main dining area. Can't wait to come back.
