Stayed here for 6days in july. The place is really nice and secluded up in a small valley of its own. Some small hiccups, but not of such a character that it pulls the experience to much down. Place is large and we had a cabin that was a 5minute walk from the bar/dining area.

We were invited back to Meadowood and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Whether a couples trip, family, or business you will likely have a good experience. We also were on the property during a wedding that was just beautiful. Highly recommend!

Everyone was helpful and well trained please pass this on to the staff. The property was very well maintained and beautiful inside and out. If back in this area will stay there again. If you get a chance sign up for the cooking class it was wonderful.

I wish I could have even gotten to stay at Meadowood but I couldn't even get past the reservation process and I feel that my experience in this process unfortunately reflects a lack of care, sincerety or service to their guests. I had a last minute business trip coming up in the Napa area and I decided to try and stay at Meadowood for the first time. To book my reservation I first tried to book it directly through the hotel website, but I couldn't find any rooms available online. So I called the resort and tried to book over the phone, still no rooms. I found that extremely puzzling so I started to do some research online to see perhaps if there was some sort of event in the valley. I couldn't find any events but what I did find is lots of room available through third party websites such as Travelocity, Orbitz etc. So I started looking through the third party websites to see if I could get my room booked. I settled upon using Travelocity because they offered specifically the type of room that I was looking for. I didnt want to stay in the entry level "hillside rooms" that are advertised for $ 625 per night- as I purposely booked in a mid tier room level. After I booked the room online I received a warm welcome email from the hotel- great. I also received a email confirmation from Travelocity and later that night I started reviewing the confirmation and looking at the hotel map to try and gauge where the room might be located on the property. To my dismay I was booked into the entry level"hill side" room. I thought surely this is a mistake as I did not select this type of room and more concerning the room rate was $975 and whopping $350 more per night. I also re-checked the price of the room on Travelocity's site to see what the room rate was being advertised for and it was $700 per night- so where did $975 come from? I thought perhaps there's different types of "hill side" rooms so I called Travelocity to see if they could provide an explanation. They could not provide any sort of explanation because they are just the third party- they don't know if there's diferent levels of hillside rooms. So next I attempted to contact the resort to see if I could get this straightened out. I called the resort and was transferred to the reservation line with multiple phone prompts. I first selected "6" for other (since it wasn't a new or existing reservation) and the line just rang and rang. Finally it was looped back to the original person who answered the phone who then informed me that I needed to select prompt "2". So I went back into the phone tree and selected prompt "2" in which the phone line was eventually answered, as I started to try and ask my question I was informed promptly that this line was for new reservations only and that I needed to be transferred back into the phone tree and select "1". So I went back around in the loop again to select prompt "1" and was promptly dumped into a voice mail. Pretty disappointing and frustrating. Then I recalled the welcome email message that I had received after the booking so I fired off an email message to the sender to see perhaps what sort of response the hotel might be able to provide. I got the typical response "not the standard that Meadowood strives for nor is accustomed to providing. Management team is reviewing and anticipate a response..". I waited a little to see what type of response the management team might have and still hadn't heard anything so I called the sender of the email message Jenny Lair and she put me in touch with the resevation team. The reservation team manager Lisette's solution was to offer me a room for $1,250 per night.". Not really a solution...... I'm not sure if that was the official response from the management team as I haven't heard anything else from Meadowood's Management and its been over a week. I can truly share that this experience has made me feel like they really don't care about their guests- or they certainly did not care about this one. It's been a really really disappointing experience. The resort could try and blame Travelocity, but they should take some responsibility since this is truly a third party representing the hotel. Additionally I think their response to my multiple attempts to resolve this were pretty awful. I am grateful that other new resorts are opening up in the Valley and perhaps they will provide something known as "real" five star service.
