We booked one night here following a cruise originating in Barbados through BA Holidays (who have always provided excellent service). We chose the House for its luxe boutique and intimate adults only atmosphere, with upscale dining, and being situated on a small sandy cove, thinking that it would be a lovely end to our Caribbean holiday. When we arrived to check in, we were initially sidelined by the reception staff to wait, whilst fellow passengers from our cruise were checked in. No reception staff would speak to us and we were told that the manager would come and deal with us. - a sure clue that there was a major problem. Finally, after nearly an hour’s wait, we were informed by Jason the manager that they could not fulfil our booking. This reservation had been booked and confirmed over 6 months before and we had received a recent update to our booking about the ongoing building work at the property. BA Holidays as our travel provider had not been informed of the situation either and were taken aback when we immediately made contact with them, and helped to resolve the issue with the most appropriate outcome for us which would involve a move to another, less exclusive property. Obviously this is totally unacceptable service on the part of The House management. We were moved to another hotel just down the road and given an upgraded room with late check out and a limo to the airport, but this did not alleviate our disappointment and the hassle involved at the end of an otherwise marvellous holiday. We have still not been given a reason as to why this occurred although BA Holidays 24/7 Duty Office were brilliant at sorting out the mess and finding an acceptable resolution on the day. Take note: customer service and communication is all important however good your product is.

Myself and my partner were a bit apprehensive about booking The House Barbados as it’s not a cheap hotel, and being in our late twenties we weren’t sure if it might feel a bit too ‘mature’ for us. We are SO glad we went for it. From the moment we arrived, everything was amazing. I’ve honestly never felt so relaxed and comfortable on a holiday before, it’s such a beautiful place. I’d read a few mixed reviews about the food, but for us it was one of the highlights. The lovely lady cooking eggs every morning was an absolute delight, and lunches were always great, especially the BBQs which we loved. Dinner was always really tasty with plenty of choice, even though it’s menu-based. The staff were unbelievably friendly, kind and approachable, which made such a difference. The rooms were spotless and really comfortable, and one of my favourite parts of the whole trip was waking up, opening the balcony doors and hearing the sea, honestly heaven. The turn-down service was such a nice touch too, having the room refreshed again in the evening just felt like that extra bit of luxury. Another thing we really appreciated was on our last day. Our flight wasn’t until 9pm, checkout was 2pm, and they gave us access to a spare room to use whenever we needed. That made such a difference and meant our last day was actually enjoyable, which hasn’t always been the case at other hotels. The only negatives (and they didn’t bother us too much) were around the spa and our room location. We tried to book the complimentary jet lag massage on our first day, but there was no availability for 5 days and only one time slot around 3pm, so we didn’t end up having it. More availability at the spa would definitely help. We were also given a room overlooking some construction work. We didn’t complain as we’re quite easygoing, but I do think these rooms should maybe be discounted while the work is ongoing as the view and noise aren’t great during the day. There’s also no on-site gym. You can walk to the sister hotel, but it’s very small and only really fits a few people, so we only went once. That said, I think if you’re choosing this hotel, you’re going for a proper relax and switch-off holiday, which is exactly what we wanted and loved. Evening entertainment is quite minimal too. On nights without live music, it would be nice if they played some Caribbean music just to create a bit more of a vibe. But honestly, these are very small things. We absolutely loved our stay and it’s been our favourite holiday ever. We would 100% return ❤️

What an amazing place!!!! As you approach reception you are met with the words “Welcome to our Home” How right they are….. We travel all over parts of the world and have never stayed in a hotel so amazing!!! Everyone is totally brilliant and the way we were looked after was fantastic. Our suite was on the ground floor and was so large and comfortable. We looked out from the patio with a lazy bed, table and chairs onto a lovely swimming pool and another 30 metres you were in the ocean. The food… well simply beyond anything you could wish for and especially the staff always making our meals so relaxing. We used the boat travelling between the group of hotels which you could use all the facilities and this was a great way to spend the lazy days. Well what more can we say… Just simply amazing!!!

Well - what a fantastic all inclusive place to stay in Barbados! We arrived very early having just left a cruise on the Royal Clipper (also fantastic!), expecting just to be able to drop our bags off. We received a lovely welcome, were sat down with a glass of lemonade, and checked in. We received an apology that our room wasn't ready (it was 9.30am!), but we were welcome to make full use of all the facilities including drinks, lunch etc. By 11am we were told our room was ready! What a difference from UK hotels! The room was beautiful - an ocean view with a lovely comfortable balcony, and plenty of space and storage. The food was brilliant - plenty of choice, and if you didn't fancy what was on the menu, the staff would do their best to prepare something suitable. Champagne (Piper Heidsieck) breakfasts, lovely light lunches and brilliant dinners. Almost all drinks were included in the all inclusive so we had plenty of brilliant cocktails, and lovely wine! The facilities were great - plenty of sunbeds around the terrace, and although the little beach has been more or less swept away, we could get down at low tide for a wander in the sand. The hotel is over 3 floors - no lift, but our cases were all taken up for us, so it didn't really matter! The staff were all very professional but very friendly - everyone welcomed us with a smile no matter when or where we were. Also look out for The House house cat Panda who wanders around in true Caribbean style! The hotel is small, so you feel well looked after. The only slight downside (apart from having to leave!) was that it was only when checking out we discovered the QR code that brought up the daily menus and activities - we fed back to Reception that they should bring this to guest's notice as they check in, as it would have been really useful! Apart from that, we couldn't fault the hotel, the facilities, the location and the staff - we can't wait to come back!

Visited The House for the second time, travelled with my parents and then husband arrived for the last 10 days of our holiday. As my father’s mobility isn’t the best, the house was the hotel we needed. We both had ground floor rooms which led onto the pool area, with the ocean view. The rooms were more like having your own villa with such easy access to the pool, restaurant and of course the bar areas. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with such smiles it made our hearts dance. The staff and management team make this the place to go, they cannot do enough for you. All of the staff laugh and smiles with each other which assures you it’s a great place to work. The food was great although we chose to eat out a few times to see the real Barbados, but always rushed back to get a drink in the bar with other guests. We had such a great mix of guests which again made it fell we were at home. And not to mention Panda the cat. Jason you have a great team with you and cannot wait to come back soon. Thank you all for making our holiday special, and thank you for looking after my parents. See you soon xxxx
