Decent

Great spot, great views, updated villas. Service left a bit to be desired. Super slow for everything. Streaming services were down the whole trip and all we got was a “sorry”. Electricity went out for a while, but no one said anything. I would come back here for the location and ease, but not my favorite spot!

Eh. It is what it is.

This hotel is great because it’s the only hotel in the island, the grounds are beautiful, the pool is great, beach is awesome and rooms a spacious. But the customer service is TERRIBLE. I don’t think in our entire stay we encountered one pleasant person working at the hotel. It’s a good place to call home base while on the island and that’s about it.

Great resort, poor customer service

My room was not ready until 7p at a resort that strictly enforces a 10a checkout time and 4p check in time. There were tons of people around me in the same situation and they were given resort credit for the inconvenience, however I received nothing.

Beautiful grounds and rooms- Food needs work

The resort is very welcoming from the beginning. You are offered a tropical cocktail upon entry and the grounds are beautifully well maintained. The room was spacious and accommodated our family of 9 comfortably. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms are large. We loved getting around the resort on the golf carts. Unfortunately, the downside is the food and restaurant service. We visited Snorkles while we waited for our room to be ready. We sat for a long time before a server came to greet us. We ordered cocktails and a few food items (conch fritters and ceviche). I’m gluten free and was told that the chips that come with the ceviche were flour so I asked for it without the chips. The server returned with the conch fritters but no ceviche. We asked about the ceviche and she said she asked about a side salad as a replacement for the chips but I didn’t answer so she didn’t put it in. She brought it out afterwards and the ceviche was slimy gray RAW shrimp 🤮. Not sure if they allowed it to “cook” in the lime juice long enough but it was disgusting. I tried to order the chicken wings as a replacement but she forgot to put the order in. I just decided it wasn’t meant for me to eat so I gave up. The cocktails were not the best either. We stay at the JW Marriott Marco Island often and love the food and beverages there. Their Miami Vices are so amazing and tasty!! I was expecting the same level of cocktails and was sorely disappointed. We tried the deli onsite for a quick breakfast option. They had a ton of delicious looking pastries, bagels, and sandwiches. Being gluten free there were limited options for me. Caprese salad and Greek salad were the only options. Overall we love the resort and recommend taking a taxi into town to eat delicious foods. The resort food is definitely not recommended.

Fabulous Stay!

We had a fabulous week at the Westin St John Virgin Grand Villas. We were in 41. The Villa was spacious and well equipped. We had 5 adults and 2 teens. The staff was friendly and prompt when we requested items. The shuttles were always around when we needed a lift to or from the pool.
