Owned by native Antiguans, the 30 cottages at Cocos Hotel roost on a cliff and overlook iridescently clear waters, where deep blues and minty greens shimmer in streaks on the horizon. The best way to enjoy the view is swinging in a hammock suspended from the roof of each cottage’s rustic terrace, or drifting to sleep on the netting-enveloped princess bed. Chef Pam Clay's West Indian take on Tuscan cuisine attracts a local following.

Mixed feelings on this resort. Overall we loved it, but when we come back to Antigua we won't return here. Some of this is arguably being picky but at the price point I suspect I can be! PROS -The view from our sunset pool cottage was amazing and we loved hanging out here and the balcony space was amazing. If you can definitely worth the splurge -The bar staff in the evening were absolutely brilliant and very kind -The Church Beach was lovely and bar staff good there too, again view was amazing at sunset -We loved the vibe of the resort and the gardens especially, they were beautiful and always being worked on -Kris (the manager) was great, and our welcome was lovely -the housekeeping kept the room beautifully clean -food was generally good, we preferred the restaurant to the beach bar. CONS -The rooms are definitely shabby chic with more emphasis on shabby, one of the draws never shut, it was wide open the entire stay and a few odd stains here and there. -The rooms are also very dark- the dressing area for example really needed a brighter light, once sunset it was just quite gloomy l -Service in the restaurant was generally mixed, occasionally warm but more often than not perfunctory. We always made sure to tip well but it didn't seem to make a difference either. We don't want OTT service but more often than not didn’t even get a smile as our order was taken -Our mini bar was only refreshed once during a week stay- would have been much more helpful to have had water and soft drinks regularly replenished in the room We did really enjoy our stay despite the issues, but had service been better we would definitely have returned. They have several water stations around so worth taking your own water bottles which we didn't think to do in advance

This was our third visit in this little paradise. It’s one of our favourite places and we’ll keep coming back. It stands next to a stunning beach. I am Mediterranean and have visited many beautiful beaches in my life. This one is unparalleled. The place feels personable and intimate. For example, there is a charming restaurant with table service for breakfast, lunch and dinner (all inclusive) and there is no buffet on site, no queues to eat- bliss! The menu is imaginative and VERY tasty. The restaurant is built on a shallow rock above the sea and has panoramic views over the endless turquoise of the sea just below. The staff are attentive, polite and know you with your first name. They also remember what your food and drink preferences are. The managers we met, Kris and Maria are running the place very efficiently. The cottages are surrounded by trees, shrubs and climbers, with little birds and hummingbirds flying around. They have ample space and I loved the aesthetics: dark wood floors which contrast the white linen of the poster bed. Some cottages are built higher on the hill so be prepared for a climb! We had a wonderful, relaxing time in all our visits and created beautiful memories.

Fantastic small hotel with breathtaking views from hillside rooms..loved the outside showers. Outside private decking with hammock and quality bedroom with mosquito net around very comfortable bed! Food was excellent! Real Carib vibes and cooked beautifully..especially loved the Caribbean soups! Only letdown for us was beach quality..small patch at the end of jolly beach slightly better than the other extremely thin silver on the other side where the beds were crammed in and often wet from the incoming waves! If you like to chill in the rooms or by the pool this wouldn’t be a problem but we were disappointed that the beaches did not look like the photos online! Staff however were mostly happy and friendly..we received a fantastically warm reception on checking in and every day when we used the restaurant!

Beautiful setting and views. Staff very accommodating and beaches beautiful with clear blue sea. Food is well presented but certain dishes lacked quality ingredients. Location and cabins very rustic but comfortable
