Owned by native Antiguans, the 30 cottages at Cocos Hotel roost on a cliff and overlook iridescently clear waters, where deep blues and minty greens shimmer in streaks on the horizon. The best way to enjoy the view is swinging in a hammock suspended from the roof of each cottage’s rustic terrace, or drifting to sleep on the netting-enveloped princess bed. Chef Pam Clay's West Indian take on Tuscan cuisine attracts a local following.

My husband and I spent 5 days here celebrating our 20 year anniversary. It was perfect. From the private transfer to the hotel until the last rum punch before we left. IT WAS AMAZING. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Every meal was delicious, every drink was superb, both beaches were beautiful. We both had massages at the spa and they were heavenly We stayed in the sunset pool cootage and the views are breathtaking. I will dream of COCOS until I can return.

We stayed at Cocos Hotel the first week of February and had an amazing experience from start to finish. We booked a Sunset View room, and the views absolutely did not disappoint. We traveled with two other couples to celebrate a 40th birthday, and the resort was the perfect setting for our group. It has an intimate, boutique feel that made everything easy and relaxing. The main restaurant offered excellent food and service throughout our stay. While the beach grill didn’t quite meet our expectations, the main restaurant had such great options that we happily chose to eat there for lunch each day. Despite there being just one primary restaurant, we never had to wait for a table and always found plenty of variety on the menu. One of the highlights of our trip was the cooking class with Fay and Vaynessa, a great way to experience the local flavors. Some of us also enjoyed the yoga class, which was a wonderful addition to our relaxing getaway. The staff truly made the stay special. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. There isn’t much music outside of the bars and activities are somewhat limited, but that’s part of the charm. If you’re looking for a lively party atmosphere, this may not be the place. However, if you want a beautiful, peaceful resort where you can truly relax and reset, Cocos is pure paradise.

What an amazing place! Just as expected reading other reviews. I usually don't review but I want people to know how special this place is. The weather and views are incredible. The staff was so nice and accommodating, not one bad interaction. And the food, WOW, great selection, portion sizes and taste! The hill was steep getting back to the room but very manageable, people there twice my age handled it. Please visit, you won't be disappointed! Thanks Cocos!

Mixed feelings on this resort. Overall we loved it, but when we come back to Antigua we won't return here. Some of this is arguably being picky but at the price point I suspect I can be! PROS -The view from our sunset pool cottage was amazing and we loved hanging out here and the balcony space was amazing. If you can definitely worth the splurge -The bar staff in the evening were absolutely brilliant and very kind -The Church Beach was lovely and bar staff good there too, again view was amazing at sunset -We loved the vibe of the resort and the gardens especially, they were beautiful and always being worked on -Kris (the manager) was great, and our welcome was lovely -the housekeeping kept the room beautifully clean -food was generally good, we preferred the restaurant to the beach bar. CONS -The rooms are definitely shabby chic with more emphasis on shabby, one of the draws never shut, it was wide open the entire stay and a few odd stains here and there. -The rooms are also very dark- the dressing area for example really needed a brighter light, once sunset it was just quite gloomy l -Service in the restaurant was generally mixed, occasionally warm but more often than not perfunctory. We always made sure to tip well but it didn't seem to make a difference either. We don't want OTT service but more often than not didn’t even get a smile as our order was taken -Our mini bar was only refreshed once during a week stay- would have been much more helpful to have had water and soft drinks regularly replenished in the room We did really enjoy our stay despite the issues, but had service been better we would definitely have returned. They have several water stations around so worth taking your own water bottles which we didn't think to do in advance
