Owned by native Antiguans, the 30 cottages at Cocos Hotel roost on a cliff and overlook iridescently clear waters, where deep blues and minty greens shimmer in streaks on the horizon. The best way to enjoy the view is swinging in a hammock suspended from the roof of each cottage’s rustic terrace, or drifting to sleep on the netting-enveloped princess bed. Chef Pam Clay's West Indian take on Tuscan cuisine attracts a local following.

Cocos is a beautiful and serene hotel in a gorgeous setting. The rooms cascade down the sea-facing sides of a steep and tall hill with lengthy and walkable beaches on either side (each with its own bar). We had a sunset view cottage, and the privacy, sunsets, and water colors were stunning and indescribable. Our room was spacious, clean, with a comfy bed, had a mini fridge with free drinks (you choose the contents), fresh water provided daily, a double outside shower (glorious and just wait until you experience the refreshing fragrances of the soap and shampoo!), an infinity pool with adirondack chairs, a table and 2 chairs, and a large hammock. Throughout the resort, everywhere you look provide a beautiful panorama of turquoise and blue ocean, flowers, and hand-placed rock walls. A resort pool is tucked away in a tranquil and lovely corner by one of the beaches, surrounded by couple size day beds. My biggest concern before going was only one restaurant, but let me reassure you. Every meal offered a menu with a wide variety of choices that changed daily, was absolutely delicious, and each option was well-portioned, chef-worthy and beautifully presented. And to top it off, if they were generous about special requests. The staff were kind and helpful, and special shout-outs to Shelley Ann, Franklin, Francine, and Teri Ann. George provided great insights and information, and Kris was tremendously helpful in preparing a curated day trip for us with a private driver. On top of all that, there are also extra details provided for guests; discover them on your own when you book and enjoy a visit yourselves. Hightly recommend.

This was our fourth visit to Cocos. Once again, it did not disappoint. The quality is always consistent. If you want to unplug, relax and have time to reconnect this is the place to do it.

We truly had such a lovely stay at Cocos. We were there to celebrate our first anniversary. The staff was amazing, they upgraded us to the one of the biggest beach pool villas. In particular Kris and George at the front desk. In addition, we ended up missing the first night and they were kind enough to offer us a 50% discount on the first night despite the last minute change. We also had a private beach dinner. I also want to take a moment to compliment the wait staff and the head chef for accommodating our halal dietary needs. Cocos truly made our anniversary so special and we are looking forward to returning and recommending to family and friends.

My husband and I just returned from a week at Coco's. We had a wonderful stay. The cottages are comfortable, private and quiet. The food was exceptionally good. We enjoyed all our meals. The location is great-between two beautiful beaches. We spent most of our time at Jolly Beach and found it a little less crowded than the other beach. I had a massage at the spa that was EXCELLENT. Ask for Tarsie. Service was very good. We especially enjoyed Nikisha at the beach bar. She learned our drink order quickly and then had fun making us other drinks she thought we'd enjoy. A manager could always be found at or around the Front Desk, so any question or need was quickly answered. Very professionally run. From the welcome to our departure, we felt welcomed and comfortable. We will be back.

My wife and I just returned from our trip to Cocos celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Our first room was a Premium View cottage and was high up on the hill which gave us great views looking out over the bay. The walk up to the room was a good workout which we already expected based on information provided on Cocos website and from other reviews. We switched rooms during our stay to a Bay View Plunge Pool cottage. This was located closer to the bottom of the property so the walk to the room was very easy. Having the plunge pool was fun and the views from the pool and deck were spectacular. The staff at the resort were all friendly. We had a couple people that stood out a little more than others because they were overly nice and conversated more with us. My wife and I were a little apprehensive about there only being one restaurant but after reading reviews we felt better. I want to say we were very pleased with the food for every meal we had in the restaurant which was breakfast most days, lunch most days, and dinner every night. There was a good variety on the menu each time so we were both able to find something we liked and everything was excellent. The beach bar on Valley Beach side offered wings, chicken quesadillas, and hot dogs which were all good, but I think they offer the same items each day, so not much variety. The resort had some type of live entertainment each night. We only stayed after dinner one evening when they had a band which was fantastic. This resort is a little older and doesn't have tv's in the bedroom or lobby (which we didn't miss at all). The Wi-Fi was good so I imagine you could stream your favorite show even though we didn't try. Mentioning this in case you prefer a brand new resort with contemporary finishes, etc. If you don't mind a more simplistic resort with beautiful views, friendly staff, great food, and the ability to connect with your significant other than this is probably a great option for you.
