Owned by native Antiguans, the 30 cottages at Cocos Hotel roost on a cliff and overlook iridescently clear waters, where deep blues and minty greens shimmer in streaks on the horizon. The best way to enjoy the view is swinging in a hammock suspended from the roof of each cottage’s rustic terrace, or drifting to sleep on the netting-enveloped princess bed. Chef Pam Clay's West Indian take on Tuscan cuisine attracts a local following.

We absolutely loved our stay at Cocos Hotel Antigua and would highly recommend it to couples looking for a completely relaxing, unplugged vacation. It has a rare mix of simplicity, natural beauty, and thoughtful touches that make it feel special without being overdone. The Big things: *No bracelets, no buffet—everything feels relaxed and boutique *Stunning beach and topography, with clear turquoise water and no seaweed during our stay. *Beachfront cottage made beach access effortless, Outdoor shower in the cottages is a standout highlight. Beautiful Caribbean decor: dark wood, natural materials, open-air design *Food is delicious and well-prepared *Great sense of privacy and space, both in the rooms and on the beach *West-facing rooms equals extra beach time in the afternoon, but limited natural shade if you need it *Excellent bar selection: Grey Goose, Bombay Sapphire, Cointreau, Johnnie Walker Black; plus 3 whites, 4 reds, and bubbly *Expect hills and many steps—reasonable fitness helps a lot The Small things: *Some visible wear and tear and brush clean up in certain areas *Limited lunch options at the beach grill *Only one beer option available, Carib *Bring earplugs—nighttime frogs/bugs/critters can be loud *All dining is outdoors (which we loved), but can feel hot if you prefer AC *Some construction next door during our stay (temporary) Overall, it’s a peaceful, romantic escape that really shines for couples who want to slow down, disconnect, and enjoy a gorgeous beachfront setting. We have already booked for next year!

Great time, amazing staff, views, beaches and service. Dinner quality was good but could be better for my liking. Seemed to lack as much seasoning (maybe that is just Antiguan cuisine?)and the fish didn’t seem fresh for being in the sea. Still a great experience!

Beautiful resort with access to such an incredible turquoise water. The views from around the resort were absolutely stunning! | loved their food - every meal had great presentation! Very attentive service, staff constantly asking if you need anything. My husband's birthday was on the last day of our trip. The restaurant staff provided absolutely beautiful table filled with fresh flowers and bottle of champagne, without even knowing what time we will show up. That was really beautiful surprise. We loved the "romantic vibe" of this resort. It provided very intimate, quiet and relaxing time for me and my husband. It is a village style resort, so definitely some walking is required. Rooms are private houses on the hill, clean and comfortable. Outdoor shower was an unique experience. We will definitely be back with our friends. I strongly recommend this place to anyone.

still stunning, with great staff and improved food quality. Some maintenance issues that should be done. Shabby chic only goes so far…. Would return however in a heart beat!
