Sorry if that title has already been used haha. Stayed here for business for two nights Loved the "moon" theme with vintage space and toy memorabilia everywhere. I was checked in by my "commander" Jack, and he explained everything thoroughly. Too cute. Super modern place but very comfortable at the same time. The room was spacious and I particularly loved the white noise machine which allowed me to get a good night's sleep. It also looked like the alarm clock/radio could be paired with a phone which is great for the technologically inclined (e.g. not me!). Little funky touches abounded like a drain stop in the sink that said "ka-boom!" and toilet paper wrapped in a pretty floral covering! The bed was really comfortable too. I could have used a little more control over the pressure in the rain shower but It was fine. The location is ideal on Delmar which is filled with tons of restaurants and shops, even an independent bookstore. Like any revitalized area just be aware as there are a good number of "assertive" pan handlers. The business meeting rooms were fine and met the technology requirements. Wi-Fi easy to access- I would suggest they have a password requirement though as I was hesitant to use the Wi-Fi personally. It did make it easy to just hop online though. The breakfast and lunch we were served was tasty - and the morning coffee nice and strong which was awesome. It is always a little stressful traveling for business so the fact that I didn't have to think twice about any issues with my room or the hotel itself took some of that away. So I would definitely stay here personally and recommend it for personal travel as well; The rooftop bar seems like it would be cool on a warm night, the bar itself was closed for a private event so didn't really get to check that out. Security is good too- you need a room key for the elevators and to get on the floors. Overall excellent stay - I hope we can stay here again next year!

Great location but the rooms have such poor sound insulation. the room next door was talking and giggling all morning waking me up. it sounded like someone had their door open and was talking in the hallway but when you go to check, its just the sound thats traveling under the door. Nobody asked me how my stay when I was checking out so I brought it up and all they said was "oh must have been room next door" well no duh. They didn't offer any compensation and did not try to make anything right for me. Was very disappointed in how poorly the feedback/complaint was held. They were not apologetic but instead just tried to explain why it was so loud. I know -- its the doors that do not block sound! For the price and a 4-star hotel, it was a poor place to stay and as I mentioned to them, I will not be recommending it to anyone.

My sisters and I take a yearly trip. This was by far the best of all so far. The room, bars, staff and area were the bomb! We will definitely return. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants near. A short walk to the M for the trip to downtown and the arch.

My daughter and I recently stayed at the Moonrise Hotel while attending a college tour of Washington University. The location is ideal just being a few, easily walkable blocks from the school. The hotel itself is super funky. Love the retro vibe and the mid-century décor. As an dog lover, it was also a treat to see the four-legged guests coming and going. It made me miss having my Frenchie with me. There was a lot going on in and around the hotel during a very busy weekend - heavy metal concert at the venue next door, wedding at the roof top restaurant. It made for some excellent people watching in the lobby. Even with all of that going on, however, the hallways to the rooms were quite and we were never disturbed at night by any outside noise. If my daughter decides to attend Wash U, this will be my hotel of choice when I visit for sure!

Have stayed here three times. Great location. Some great restaurants within walking distance however we have never eaten at the restaurant in the hotel.. Staff is always nice and accommodating. Rooms are spacious and clean. We always enjoy hanging out on the roof for some drinks and a great view.
