Belmond La Samanna Villas in Saint Martin, French West Indies

The afternoon sun glints through graceful archways of an open-air salon at Belmond La Samanna Villas while guests congregate for a night of seaside entertaining Light wood finishes with touches of bamboo lend an airy touch to an already palatial living space – more than 4,600 square feet of it, complete with pergola-shaded wraparound terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows. Salma Hayek and designer Elie Tahari are among the celebs who flock to St. Martin's French side.

Recline on a settee facing Baie Longue, the longest and most pristine beach on the island. Fit some laps around the villa’s infinity pool into your sunbathing schedule. Call on your personal host to arrange a customized spa treatment. Gather your friends as the chef grills Caribbean lobster seaside. Linger with champagne on the terrace as the stars come out.

La Samanna is a beautiful gated resort tucked privately away from everything. It has the most stunning beach and views on all of St. Martin. Staff and service is top notch. The Spa offers wonderful massages and other treatments. The beach service staff is great! It is a wonderful place for an enjoyable beach vacation! Definitely a favorite!

We enjoyed the tranquility of our stay. This is a high quality resort with excellent service. We were not impressed by the food quality and therefore ate several meals at local places instead of the resort. Close to the airport, but without airport noise. Within driving distance to several good restaurants and a grocery store.

Perfect resort. Not crowded so you can perfectly relax and enjoy your stay at la samanna. Service is attentive, very professional. We always dine at the resort because they have one if not the best restaurant on the island. We had dinner at la Cave one night and was one of the most romantic delicious and perfect dinner. The wine list is fantastic with selection from all over the word Seams a bit pricey but they always special offer at more affordable price So go and book la samanna you going to love it

Words can't not do justice to this magnificent property. The location, accommodations, food and staff are out of this world. Simply put you must experience it yourself to understand this special place.

We have stayed at Belmond La Samanna the last 2 years and love the hotel and the island of St. Martin. We were planning on making another visit in March 2018. Now with Irma, we are not sure what to do. The island looks to be in very bad shape. I have been unable to find any pictures of La Samanna to see how much damage the hotel has sustained. Does anyone have a view?
