Wonderful property. Great experience.
The La Samanna is a beautiful property in St. Maarten. The service, food and overall experience was outstanding. So, why only 4 stars? The hot water in our hotel room was brown. We informed the staff right after checking in and it took until the last day of our visit to resolve. I was frustrated that this appeared to be a known issue and there was an overall lack of transparency in getting it resolved.

Exceptional location, staff and accommodation
Somewhat expensive - we have stayed to other luxury resort with similar high level service and accommodation that were a little less - but it was worth it

Exquisitely warm, charismatic and kind staff. Beautiful, intimate property.
Our family of four (partner and 2 adult sons) had a wonderful 5 day stay at La Samanna. The staff from servers (Romario, Jean, Martin, Hugo, Niccolo, Francesco), housekeeping, concierge, the General Manager Stephanie were so attentive and friendly, yet professional and focused. The property sits proudly; it is very intimate, yet privacy was never an issue. The food was very good, and we particularly appreciated the wellness shots and plant based options. The grounds are well maintained and the sunsets are spectacular. All our requests were responded to promptly and with great generosity. We chose this property over the Four Seasons in Anguilla and glad we did - the scale of the place just made the experience feel very personal.

Wonderful Hotel in an Unmatched Location
We loved our time at La Samanna, and there is no better beach on the island to spend your days soaking up the sun and swimming. Our room was lovely and steps away from the beachfront. The staff is delightful. Overall, highly recommended.
