Highly Recommended
Not the newest or most luxurious resort in the Caribbean, but still my favorite. Pros: Beautiful virtually private beach with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. Beach Boys that are quick to set up loungers, adjust the umbrellas and serve food and beverages. Suites that are spacious, attractive and comfortable but not fussy. Very residential. Not far from the Philipsburg airport. 15 to 20 minute $25 (flat rate.) Cons: Noisey gas powered carts used by the staff. I can't believe they haven't converted to quiet electric carts. The property is not walkable to other venues: a trade off for the privacy and isolation. The landscaping is nice, but has the potential to be a real showcase. Yes, the rates are high, but the assets and quality are there.

We stayed at LaSamanna this past week. They greatly exceeded our expectations and made our stay a uniquely special experience. The facilitates and location are very nice with spectacular views at every turn. The staff is fantastic and very personable and fun to talk to, they make you feel at home.

Turquoise waters like an ad from paradise
Loved our stay here for 3 nights. The front desk/concierge staff were attentive and helpful when it came to making restaurant reservations and calling a trusted taxi. The GM was friendly and made sure to greet us on upon arrival and also whenever she saw us. Friendly service from the restaurant and beach staff. Loved every bit of our stay. The beach was literally our backyard and enjoyed every bit of the water as well as the pool. The food from the French and Italian restaurants were exceptional. Will miss having a rum punch!

Annual Anniversary Trip
Having just returned from our annual trip to La Samanna to celebrate our wedding anniversary my wife and I are already looking forward to next years trip. La Samanna is truly a wonderful and relaxing place to visit. Eleanore and her staff make sure everything is perfect for each and every guest that is there. The attention to detail, service, and friendliness is at the highest level. If you choose to spend time at this beautiful Caribbean resort you will not be disappointed. Thank you to the entire staff for always making our visit a memorable experience. See you next year
