Sugar Ridge is a nice location in a hill, surrounded trees, plants and kittens! Service is average, cancellation policies are very restrictive so check that out when booking. A deposit is required as soon as you book. Breakfast is tasty, but there is no many options for lunch or dinner. Visits to the beach under schedule. In general many instructions to follow if you are on vacation.

Loved the hotel... it was very quiet so it was like we had the resort to ourselves.... the hotel has a shuttle to drop off and pick up from the beach which is less than 5 mins away so I didn't miss not being able to walk from the room to a beach. The bed was great soft and relaxing. Overall it was great

Firstly the staff are the most friendliest and polite I've ever met! The hotel is lovely and relaxing, that's what your meant to do in Antigua.. It has 3 nice swimming pools to relax around, full gym and SPA facilities if you want to use them. Shuttle bus to near by Turners Beach, where you can use your AI perk in the restaurant there but the service isn't the quickest ! The hotel has lots of steps so be warned but there is a van than take you up and down the hill to the rooms.. The hotel is near Jolly Beach but is far better than that hotel! Also the best beach near by is Valley Church, no one uses it, it's 25 mins walk. Right up top is Carmichaels restaurant which is great too. All in all we had a lovely 10 nights at Sugar Ridge, go AI and enjoy ! The staff make it though!

We spent our honeymoon at Sugar Ridge and had the most incredible time! The resort is amazing, we were in room 57 right at the top next to carmicheals and the views were simply stunning. The rooms were immaculate and had all necessary amenities. The bed was huge and so comfortable. We read a few poor reviews about the plunge pools but we loved ours and it was a lovely way to cool off in the afternoons before dinner. The staff couldn't have done more to make our honeymoon memorable. They were all so friendly and we honestly think they were some of the nicest people we have ever met. We really could mention so many of the staff so won't take up the whole review naming names but just a special mention to Carleen who truly is the heart and soul of Sugar Ridge. She really went out of her way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The food was also really good at both Sugar Club and Carmicheals but Carmicheals was just that extra bit special. Again not sure where the people who have written bad reviews have visited... Thank you Sugar Ridge for helping make our honeymoon so perfect! We will definitely return!

Spent 10 days here and had a fantastic time. There a few options for your stay depending on what you're after. Breakfast, half board or all inclusive. We picked breakfast only as we wanted to sample what the island had to offer and didn't want to be limited to the hotel only. We did eat at the hotel. They have a restaurant called Carmichaels and the was excellent. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are really good and cleaners come in every day. Holiday rep was great and Will book excursion for you. This is recommended as they Will pick up from hotel and drop back. Would stay here again, in fact I wouldn't try any where else.
