Reviews for DOM Boutique Hotel
We stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and baby girl 2 years. The rooms where comfortable and big. We had nice bathroom with bath tub. Breakfast was nice and there was something for everybody. No noise to the room from the corridor. We will defiantly come back next time we come to St Petersburg. Thank You!!
The Dom Boutique Hotel is modern and conservative at the same time, centrally located, specially designed, clean and comfortable. We found everything we were hoping for during our stay in St.Petersburg. First of all the location: Gangutskaya ulitsa is a quiet street where traffic is not so crazy as in other areas nearby. Still, green and most main sightseeing are within walking distance (Summer Garden, Chizhik-Pizhik)), the Russian Museum etc.). Everyone at the reception speaks English, so the check in process was very smooth and easy. Our room was on the third floor and was modern, essential and bigger than I expected. The bed was large and comfortable, with a small sitting area and a tea table in a corner of the room. Wi-Fi is free and works in all areas once you have authenticated yourself. Breakfast is served in the restaurant Giardino, and offers a good choice of cereals, yoghurts, croissants, cold meats, cheeses and fish. What I missed a little it is the gym and/or the SPA, I found it in other place, but I really I would definitely go back to the Dom Boutique Hotel.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel within walking distance of all the sites. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious with lovely fresh fruit, delicious smoked salmon and lovely pastries Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again in a heartbeat

I have traveled the world and have stayed at some of the finest hotels, eaten in the best restaurants and had great service. For my very first trip to St. Petersburg, Russia I decided to enlist the Russian Travel Office (London) to assist with a private car, tour guide and recommendations on hotels. While I was thrilled at their ability to organize a government approved tour guide and also a car and driver - I wasn’t satisfied with their recommendations for a hotel – I discovered the DOM Hotel on my own. It is located in the centre of the old town and very near the main attractions, including St. Michael's Castle, the Faberge Museum, Church of the Savior of the Spilled Blood, the State Hermitage Museum (about a 20 minute walk) and others. It is located on a small street which is quiet and accessible. The hotel is just a little over one year old – and has been completely renovated to a high standard. Since it’s a small boutique hotel, some of the amenities of a larger hotel aren’t present but they make up for it in charm and wonderful service! If you're looking for a Ritz Carlton, Sheraton Hotel or other large luxury hotel chain then you're not the right guest for this hotel. Try the State Hermitage Official Hotel, expensive and large. My deluxe room was charming and very well appointed. The bathroom was up to top European luxury standards. The main feature of my room was the balcony, which overlooks the Neva River. They have very few rooms with balconies so this must be booked way in advance. I was lucky during my visit that the weather was mild and comfortable enough to walk around with just a light sweater – so that I used the balcony every evening to smoke a cigar, have a cup of tea or just to watch the boats meandering down the river. I experienced the hotel restaurant for breakfast and for lunch and found the food and service up to a high standard. In the reception area is a library-style room available for guests for meetings, conferences or just to chill! The reception staff was well versed in English and knowledgeable regarding making recommendations for restaurants and places to visit during my stay. I found the staff going out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had enjoyed their recommendations. Even though the hotel did not have a facility for changing foreign currency they made an excellent recommendation of a nearby bank on the Nevsky Prospect, which afforded me an excellent rate in exchanging US dollars and UK pounds to Russian rubles. Don’t change money at the airport – they are rip-offs! I would definitely stay at this property the next time I find myself in St. Petersburg!

The deciding factor for chosing the Dom Boutique Hotel was its location, as we had business nearby. The hotel itself seats in a quiet street near the Summer Garden. Its stylish design interior and yet cosy, gives a feeling of real peacefulness. Our room was beautifully furnished, ultra clean, bright and quite spacious. The bed was very comfy, with high quality duvet. The bathroom (bathtub/shower combo) was neat, clean, and again, beautiful in its design. While the accomodation side of the hotel is faultless, the same can't be said about the breakfast. It is served up until 11am during week-ends (10am working days). When we came at 10am, most trays containing hot dishes were almost empty. Few lukewarm dry sausages here, a bit of baked beans & grilled veggies there, no eggs & pancakes at all (breakfast itself is ok, but nothing groundbreaking). We asked the buffet staff many times for a refill with assurance it would come in no time. It took more than 15min. for the eggs to come, almost 30min. for the pancakes. At that time, we had finished our meal and were on our way out (but we did stay an extra 5min. to sample the pancakes, and to be fair, they were quite tasty). So, you're left with the choice of sleeping late or having a decent morning meal. But apparently not both. Recommanded, but not for the somewhat faulty breakfast.
