You cannot go wrong with this place - it has it all: comfortable rooms, smiling and quick service. In the morning you open your window - and - voila - there is the famous St Petersburg landmark, St. Isaac's Cathedral, right there! Just comes at a price, though...

Best rooms and best view in town. Now that the rooms have been redecorated and the bathrooms upgraded, I rate this hotel as the best in town. Especially the Junior suites with the view on St Isaac. The terrace roomsin the 4 Seasons are nice too but they miss the "cachet" the Astorai has kept

Indulgence in the very heart of historical Saint-Petersburg. The hotel itself cherishes the multi-century traditions, it's the place where Bulgakov, Esenin stayed. It's located right by the Isakievsky Cathedral, the Mariinsky theater, the Hermitage. The lobbies with antiques, rooms are the history itself, every room has its personal look & touch. My room was inspired by famous Russian ballet school of Vaganova. Impressive lavish marble bathrooms (with Ferragamo toiletries). There is a spa (though didn't have a chance to attend it). Fantastic team at the reception & restaurant. Delightful breakfasts. Do recommend to stay at least for a night for those who would like to absorb the historicity & the vibes of Saint-Petesrburg. The place is a fantastic choice to have a business meeting. For example to have a high tea meeting. Do strongly recommend
