I had the pleasure of spending one week at this resort with my husband and another couple. Our "double" room consisted of two large bedrooms with king-sized 4-poster beds, 2 full bathrooms with a jacuzzi tub in each, 1 powder room with shower, fully equipped kitchen, dining room with a table and a large living room. Each bedroom had a tv and there was an additional TV in the living room. There was also a balcony attached to each bedroom. Upon our arrival at the reception we were offered refreshing lemon-infused ice water as well as a nice cold face cloth to freshen us up. PROS: Excellent WiFi throughout our room, great water pressure in the shower, in-room safe was programmable and had a security key that could be removed for extra safety. All staff from gardeners and up were very friendly and said hello anytime you saw them. Food was wonderful at all the restaurants from the Village Cafe to the tapas at the Bar 1887 to the speciality restaurants. Housekeeping services were performed regularly and we were offered extra pillows for our stay. There are also several fruit-infused dispensers located near various pools. The plunge pool that was part of our room was cold and refreshing. CONS: It is wonderful to have the balcony doors and other louvered windows open during the day but beware that some smaller birds tend to make themselves at home in the room. We had to keep all food in the refrigerator as the birds sometimes helped themselves. The hangers in the closet that have clips on them have lost there "holding" strength. The hangers are good but the clips are useless. All restaurants served good food but the prices were quite high. Once or twice during the week there is a "fogger" machine that spreads pesticides on the resort grounds after 5 pm. As I am only 5 foot 4 inches tall, it was a challenge for me to get into the very high bed and maybe a little foot stool would have helped.

This was our first time in Barbados and we’re so pleased we chose the crane resort. The resort is 1sr class and everything from the welcome, to the check-out was easy and relaxed. The customer service was amazing, every member of staff was fantastic and so helpful, a couple in particular.... Cheryl on the front desk, Jeffrey who was so friendly approachable and polite and Mel, who was one of the managers, who took time out every time to say hello, ask how we were doing and always had a big big smile! We will certainly be returning to the crane in the future and if you’re looking for a lovely, relaxed holiday in Barbados I wouldn’t hesitate in coming here!

I just returned from The Crane. The resort itself is older and there is constant construction work being done that is very loud at times. There isn’t one part of the hotel that I can say is new or doesn’t need an update. I stayed in a two bedroom suite with a 28 ft pool. The room view was beautiful. The kitchen in the room needs a major update. Our cleaning women was amazing. Her name was Valerie. She was such a pleasure to be around. The beach is full of seaweed which of course is not the hotels fault. They will bring you to another beach if you choose. Pools were all beautiful. The views from all areas are amazing. The Italian restaurant was soooo yummy. I ate there most nights Bc i loved it so much. Overall a good stay. Like I said the hotel just needs to do some updating. The property is huge!!!! All staff were very nice and friendly :)

We have been coming to this resort for 5 years. The staff is so courteous and go out of their way to accommodate. The facilities are kept in great shape. The pools are excellent. Very easy place to get a good rest. The resort is children friendly with their wading pool. Three restaurants on site and always a taxi waiting to get you off site to other places. Nice that it is only a short drive to the airport. Just love this place. Highly recommended.
