I stayed at the Valencia Riverwalk previously, it is an outstanding hotel with a lot of charm, what is really nice is the staff, everyone, i mean everyone is so professional and courteous, they make your stay at the hotel as a family member who is loved from the doorman, receptionist and the house keeper.

We spent a great night celebrating my mom’s 76 b-day at the tequila bar. The bartender McKenzie was friendly and fun and the drinks were spot-on especially the Whiskey Sours. Combined with the view a trifecta of location laughs and libations the night couldn’t be beat. Definitely recommend and will be going back.

Located on a busy street, Hotel Valencia is a 25 minute cab ride from San Antonio Airport. It is adjacent to the River Walk. The stay was only to attend a conference held at the hotel. Two door men were a constant presence to hold open hotel doors. The 2 front desk people were rightfully harried since they had to answer a frequently ringing phone and attend to a long line of people. The hotel staff were unfailingly polite and helpful at every turn. Our very clean room was on the top floor facing the front of hotel. The view was limited to the buildings across the street; the windows did not open. Our room was uncommonly large for an older building and the decor is in keeping with the hotel theme. However, the heavy wood shutters of both windows limit natural light (there are plenty of lights in the room). The room was noisy for 2 reasons: traffic (roaring motors with loud music late into both weekend nights). and our corner room seemed to hold the exhaust shafts for the hotel which led to a continuous background dull "roar." The bed was fairly comfortable (personal opinion) with a well-worn bent and scratched metal headboard. The bed linens were really worn and sad. We did not care for how the duvet was "covered" with just 2 top sheets and we hoped the duvet was changed between customers. As 60-something year old adults, we were very mindful using the tub/shower because it is very slippery when it is wet/soapy. Well-placed hand rails would go a long way to help with fall prevention. Would we stay here again? I would query room locations if you prefer less noise or prefer "a room with a view"; and I would boldly ask for "new" bed linens! Having clearly marked efforts at recycling would be an important addition as we all try to care for our impact on a fragile planet!

When we arrived, we were greeted by Maysa at the reception desk. She was so welcoming and asked if we had stayed here before. This was our first time at Hotel Valencia and San Antonio. She answered all our questions and parking options. The hotel and our room were very nice and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was surprised for this hotel to not have housekeeping come and check your room on a daily bases. Most definitely would stay here again. Perfect location for the riverwalk and Markets.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The level of service from the staff met all expectations of hospitality and accommodations. From the greeters at the door - who open every door on each arrival, to the main desk/hotel services, to the waitstaff at the main bar. Everything was exceptional. Rooms were beautiful. I definitely recommend the courtyard which was quiet and made for excellent sleeping and relaxing. It also funneled the smells of everything food cooking in the city. Special shoutouts to our bar staff while visiting; Brittany- who was personable and down to earth, Brandon- who gave us our first day food recommendation that did not disappoint, McKenna- who sent us to Southtown with some awesome local spots to visit and Jenny- who was super fun and had great personality. Cheers to the staff at The Valencia! (Can’t wait till you get a pool 😉 *hopefully fingers crossed 🤞)
