Over the past weekend, my wife and I spent the time at La Cantera which was our second visit to the property. While the first visit was pre-COVID, we expected a great experience based on our last stay and we were not disappointed. This time, we stayed on the "Seven" Adults only floor as it had some nice additions which in our eyes gave exceptional value which was 100% the case. From Valet Parking being inclusive to the private Concierge, our experience from the jump was amazing. Andrea checked us in, showed us ALL of our benefits and had us well on our way to relaxing before we even had our bags in our rooms. From there, we went into the Spa and relaxed after a morning of travel. Later, we met Chris in the "Seven" lounge for their Cocktails and Lite Bites which were very appreciated. She assisted us with our reservation to the The Signature and arranged a Shuttle down. The Signature was an amazing dining experience with Grace hosting us and providing an exceptional dining experience. We did the Tasting menu with Wine Pairing and every single course was outstanding with some clear winners being the Scallop and Wagyu. After the signature, on our return to the room, we appreciated the Top Floor and Private Access as it was calm, quiet and relaxing. For our second day, our start was amazing with enjoying the breakfast items in the lounge with quiches and sandwiches that we got to enjoy at our leisure in our room. As for the rest of the day, we reserved a Cabana down at the Pool where we were introduced to Julia and Stephanie. Overall, Julia was bouncing around most of the Cabanas; however, Stephanie was exceptional every step of the way. She provided us all of our drinks, allowed us to enjoy ourselves to the maximum and had great suggestions for snacks and food as well. After our time at the pool, we went back to the "Seven" lounge where Dustin hosted us during the time of the Kentucky Derby and he made it quite the experience. Dustin had it on all TV's with an appropriate volume, made sure we all had our cocktails and drinks to enjoy during the big show. Finally, upon checking out, we were assisted in getting out smoothly with a little extra time allotted given the number of people checking out.

This resort was beautiful I could stare at the beautiful view all day. So much to see and do. Such a lovely place!

Service wasn’t the best specially front desk person wanting to check my pockets after he forgot his Apple Watch and questioned me after I said I didn’t see it

A resort with this high of a room rate should be flawless, and this was far from it. The rooms seemed dated, the mattress was lumpy, the WiFi was unusable the TV service(s) were ancient. The golf course was wonderful, but not enough to encourage me to stay there again.....
