A must in Argentina

Fantastic Hotel with superb views. Rooms are acceptable. Service at the concierge and at the mediterranean restaurant is poor. Breaksat buffer and grill are superb in food, views and service. Amazing spa and walking tours… would deffinitely come back!

A really lovely lovely hotel. We were in the renovated section and the rooms were fantastic. The grounds are beautiful and I loved watching the changing sun and sky over the lakes. I think for the high resort fee, though, there could be some extras that I would expect from this type of hotel (i.e a welcome drink, a shuttle into the town, information about services and the town, etc). Also, the food was not great. Breakfast was solid. But the other meals had a limited (and expensive) menu. Service was solid, pool was beautiful, and the location could not be beat.

Stunning views!

Beautiful hotel! There's a lot to walk around and see and it is all stunning. We went to the pool at sunset and it was stunning. Seeing the glacier at sunset in an infinity pool was special (also cold!) The rooms are all wooden (floors, drawers, closets, etc.) so we could hear everything from the people above us. I would recommend requesting a room on the top floor for a better night of sleep. The bathroom includes toiletries that smell like lavender, which is so lovely because there's lavender all around the hotel. Was a lovely touch!

The grand hotel of Bariloche.

Beautiful public rooms with very attentive service. Complete range of activities and facilities. Magnificent views and grounds. Can’t give it a fifth star because our room, while expansive, needed serious updating. Carpets were stained and furniture was very dated and worn. Also, pillows were not comfortable for sleeping. We enjoyed our visit though and would recommend Llao Llao to friends visiting Bariloche

Beautiful but isolated from town

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Beautiful location and 1940's lodge with a modern annex. It is on the far side of town so it takes about 45 minutes to go downtown. Taxi was approx. $ 20 USD one way.. The onsite restaurants are ok. It was difficult to find menus via their website. They have QR codes at each restaurant, and printed menus. The service in the Argentinian restaurant was terrible the night we were there. Forgotten wine, inconsistent attention, so several tables were waving arms at the servers to get their attention. One couple walked out as waiting for their bill was the final straw of the evening.

The most charming luxury hotel in South America! Every view from the lodge is picture postcard perfect. The food is Cordon Bleu, and the service beyond reproach. The town of Bariloche is a jewel to be enjoyed over and over again. If you are an artist, outdoors person, or fisherman you could not find a more perfect location. Aside from the azure lakes and towering mountains of Patagonia the most surprising export of the region is...CHOCOLATE! My wife and I have visited every country in South America - Argentina and Llao Llao Hotel & Resort Golf Spa are tops on our list.
