Everything was great except the TV in the room we couldn't get to work even with the help of one of the employees. I would definitely come back and would definitely recommend the Macallan room to all of my friends it was awesome!

Thank you for offering the upgrade to the penthouse… It was so worth it, and an excellent suggestion… It was the best room we've ever stayed... And we've been to a few places, and stayed in suites before, but this was extraordinary… And awesome ending to our San Diego adventure . Thanks!!

The hotel in located in a pretty convenient neighborhood in down town San Diego (Gaslamp Quarter), which is a strong differential. Service is also great, people are always ready to help. In the room, the douche is excellent and provides an opportunity for relaxing, warm baths.

I have never written at TripAdvisor review, but I had to for the Keating Hotel. I was recently in San Diego on business with my partner, and I have to say, when we got into the cab and asked to go to the Keating and he gave us a blank stare, I was apprehensive to say the least. However, upon pulling up at the gorgeous historic building that the Keating is housed in, all doubts dissolved. I can't say enough about the kindness, hospitality, and competency of the staff. Whoever it was on shift while we were bustling about completing our business (or stumbling in after a few too many wobbly pops from the great pubs in the area) was so professional, friendly, and when my partner suffered some gastric distress the last day making us hotel-bound, they went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of. Order some ice. You won't be disappointed. The room was unconventional from what I've stayed in before - the open concept shower worked with my partner there, but had I brought my mom as a travel partner, that would have been strange. But it was clean, made up daily, SO COMFORTABLE, and the view was great. We were in a Stanza room, and the view was great - I can only imagine how great it would be on the upper floor. Everything was clean, changed daily, and I appreciated the decor. I acknowledge it wouldn't be to everyone's taste, but for someone who spent the last full day in San Diego in a hotel room, I couldn't really envision a better experience. I would highly recommend the Keating to anyone looking to stay in the Gaslamp district of San Diego. The location is great - you're near the best bits, and it's walkable to anything else - and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.
