Reviews for Paradise Point

2nd bad experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Old and dirty Booked a presidential suite for $900 a night, and was disappointed with the room. Furniture dated, no central ac, white drapes turned black, toiled seat cover is was worn out and had nog been changed for years. Trash was thrown outside of the room next to the beachfront. Wish I could give 0 stars. I was there 20 years ago and looking and it was old, but from the pictures I thought they might of remodeled, but unfortunately not. Such a great setting 0 care for the space.

Best staycation ever

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Our family of 4 stayed 5 days and 4 nights in a garden bungalow. The grounds were beautiful, the service was excellent and we enjoyed the activities like feeding the ducks and island yoga. We stayed Monday - Friday. Next time I will book through Saturday because certain activities only happen in the weekend days. Loved it and we can’t wait to return.

Poor experience especially for handicap customers.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

My mom went onto the website and called to book a handicap room. Upon arrival they said there was no handicap room booked and that it turned out she booked through a “dupe”/“look alike” website so they take no accountability for this mistake even though this dupe website was able to book into their system. My mom had to buy handicap accommodations in her own because none were offered. Pretty much told it wasn’t their staffs problem. Roads are bumpy, outlets didn’t work, front staff/one bell boy/ and market staff were rude, (market staff ignored us and continued a conversation before helping, it was casual conversation not work related) bed and pillows not comfy. Overall poor experience, w poo upset recommend or return.

Good place and atmosphere. There are multiple pools and they are amazing. We like the bungalow and the patio near the fountains.

Disappointing Experience With Front Desk Manager and Lack of Autism Awareness

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I am very disappointed with my experience at Paradise Point Resort, especially considering how expensive this property is. On Friday, July 24, at approximately 12:30 p.m., while checking in, my nonverbal autistic son was walking in circles and making vocalizations, which is part of how he regulates himself. Instead of showing understanding or compassion, the front desk manager—the only employee wearing a black uniform while the other front desk staff wore colorful uniforms—pointed her finger at my son, yelled at me to make him stop because he was bothering her, and stood there with both hands covering her ears. I remained calm, walked over to her, and said, "My son is autistic and nonverbal, but I will try to make your life easier." Her only response was, "Thank you." What made the situation even more upsetting was that two other front desk employees witnessed the entire interaction. They had actually been kind and were helping me find a room that would better accommodate my son's needs. Their professionalism only highlighted how inappropriate the manager's behavior was. Families with autistic children already face enough challenges when traveling. Being treated this way by someone in a leadership position at a resort that markets itself as family-friendly was humiliating and unacceptable. The rest of the staff we interacted with during our stay were polite, but this experience overshadowed our arrival. I hope Paradise Point provides better disability awareness and autism training for its management team so that no other family has to go through what we experienced.
