The Paradise Point Resort & Spa is an excellent family vacation property. There are a lot of different things to do and see on the property, many different restaurants with all kinds of food types, and very close to many fun areas of San Diego.

After traveling several hours from the East Coast, I arrived to Paradise Point Resort and Spa feeling completely exhausted. I was initially greeted by the staff at the Front Desk, who proceeded to tell me that my reservation was scheduled for the day before and that I was currently being charged a "late fee" for not arriving on time. Thankfully, the travel itinerary which I had secured through Southwest Vacations had documented the correct date, time, and information, refuting Paradise Point's claim. Refusing to accept responsibility for the Resort's mistake, the Hotel staff disallowed us from checking in until 4:00 pm that night and gave priority check-in to last minute guests. Apart from the terrible introductory experience, the resort also charges for "complimentary bottle water" that are within each of the rooms, charges $40.00 a night for parking, and advertises "Beach Bonfires" but charges $20.00 for firewood and $15.00 for Smores material. Unless you are part of the 1% in the United States, you cannot afford to stay at this Resort! I spent almost $4,000 to vacation in San Diego and the majority of my proceeds went to the damn resort. The only two redeeming individuals present at the Resort, were Marc and Isaac. Isaac works for the Bicycle rental company and is not only a wonderful human being but

I thought the resort was a perfect setting for the conference. This is not a luxury resort, the views are beautiful and the rooms were private and clean. For a family the pool looked fun. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We reserved a bay room suite 5 months ago for our anniversary and were very sad to see the pictures on the website did not reflect our room. The room is small for a suite, the bed is beyond uncomfortable, the kitchen has a small fridge and microwave with nothing else to eat with even though there are shelves and drawers for these items, the couch was stained but shockingly more comfortable (no extra blankets) than the bed and the bathroom was a joke. The tub/shower is a standard tub/shower that had stains and cracks in it. We ran out of hot water with every shower. The toilet is right next to the shower and that room is not very big. The cleaning staff came at all hours of the day and one day they left around 3:30pm but returned around 4pm to retrieve their cell phone that was charging by our bed with our charger. We had no idea until they knocked at our door. The view from the room was great but if your neighbors are throwing a birthday party and your other neighbors are a bridal party there is no divider for privacy so you are basically attending their parties which I'm not sure how the staff allows people to bring 20 people for a one bed room. This was loud at all hours of the day and night and very crowded. I tried to book us at a different hotel but due to Comic Con we couldn't get in anywhere. We are not able to travel much due to work so when we do we like to go all out which is why we reserved a suite, ate twice at the nice restaurant Tidal which was great, had massages which were great, rented a wave runner, had several meals by the pool and at Barefoot. We left and went to La Jolla and Coronado for much of the time as the resort was jam packed with people. We sat by the pool which is nice with music playing but were waited on only once out of 5 days by their staff and the pool area is not big enough not to wait on everybody. The fitness center is nice but they never refill the water station. The bathrooms are disgusting by the fitness center. The staff we had contact with were very nice and the grounds are beautiful with the ducks and turtles near the fountains. Until they update the rooms and "suites" and change their policies about letting people who are not staying at the resort party all night long we will not be back.

bungalows ideal for families and also for small pets, there seemed to be many people on the beach not staying here with cars and vans randomly parked. O know there is public access to the beaches but I think some people were camped out here. not sure
