In all honesty, Paradise Point was not my first choice in picking a hotel on our most recent trip to SD. After reading all the online negative reviews I had my doubts but I had a few friends who had stayed here before and highly recommended it. In the end I'm so glad I took their advice. The hotel is perfect for families. Not perfect if you are trying to have a romantic getaway unless you don't mind kids and families walking around you all day along. There are a lot of activities to do around the resort. Riding rental surrey pedal bikes and bicycles (which were very reasonable), swimming in the various pools, feeding the ducks (buy the duck food in their store), making s'mores at the fire pits near the bay (save them early as they are first come, first serve and on public land), feeding the ducks, and climbing up the look out point. Oh and roaming around the beautiful grounds. The resort is kept up nicely and it was clean. After reading about some of their less than nicer rooms I made sure to ask for a renovated room which they were nice enough to give us. We were in a Lanai room #567 which was I really like because it was in the back area area, away from all the traffic. Our room door overlooked a little pond. It was really nice and I absolutely LOVED that your assigned a parking space is steps away from your door which is golden. Especially when you are lugging in kids and luggage. The amenities were sufficient but i chose to bring our own. Our 10 yr old son slept on the sofa bed and had no complaints. We walked by the Bay rooms and those seem to be a favorite as it it right there by the water and were all occupied. But be aware that people to like to party on the bay. It was loud and I guess there is no noise ordinance as one of the nights they were blasting loud music from the park part of the bay for hours. Each night is different so you just take your chances or ignore it. We didn't really eat at any of the eateries at the hotel because there is so much good food in San Diego to explore. Go to Phil's BBQ (5 min drive), Mission Cafe (OMG, their breakfast potatoes & pancakes) and Buon Appetito in Little Italy. We did get room service for one night and they'll bring you food from any of the eateries for $7 delivery fee. The desserts were great from Barefoot. I will definitely be bringing my kids back here next year and the year after that until they no longer want to go. The front desk staff were extremely nice and accommodating. Kailey was the superstar that helped us.

Dirty and gross. We stayed in a lanai king room and the bathroom was FILTHY! There was hair on the floor when we got there and the seal on the toilet was rust and pee stained. The bathtub was cracked and they just painted up the cracks with silicone. The walls were smudged with dirty handprints and boogers!!! We killed 5 spiders during our short stay. Not to mention that the internet sucked.

Just awful, found a VRBO house for 1/2 price for next visit.$38 per day to use pool, and $30 per day to park. The location was nice. But the photos online do not represent the actual accommodations, place is terrible.

Hotel is family friendly with wonderful beach swimming. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The staff is awesome. The restaurants had good atmosphere wish they would of offered a vegitarian/ vegan choice.
