The food at all the restaurants was horrible and overpriced. Don't waste your time or money. Stay someplace nice like Hotel Del Coronado. The location is isolated from any of the interesting parts or destinations in San Diego -- have to take a cap for 20 minutes to get to the nice part of town. In general, it is an overpriced, tacky rip off.

This is a nice property, but if you are there for a conference and sharing the room, you need to go through the bill with a fine tooth comb. The staff was nice and helpful when items were needed. It was nice to walk along the beach. They could have used more serving staff when there was a meeting on sight.

Major problem with room service order....food was good but it took over 2 hours to obtain an order that was promised for 45 minute delivery and then we had to reorder and pick up the food after we were told it had already left for delivery.

Very disappointed. The pool attached to the spa is full of children and not relaxing at all. They should have a separate pool for their spa guests. We requested a certain room months ago and did not get what we requested. The room we got was not worth the price. We had a bay view room but could not open the curtains to enjoy the bay view from our room and we could hear our neighbors through the walls. I'm a native San Diegan and I will not return to this resort again. Extremely over priced and unaccommodating. When we told them about our bad experience they said that they would send us a survey, never apologized and sent us on our way. I'm not one to complain but I couldn't let this one go.

I was in one of their newly remodeled rooms in Hibiscus village. It was so huge! Loads of towels, table and even a pull out couch for a third if needed. Close to smallest pool, but the jacuzzi was not packed. But you are available to all pools and to the marina and it has a beautiful water lily pond with wild birds. The only problems I had were the slowness of the check in AND the check out. They ended up with quite a line. The bed was as hard as a rock, though.
