Good place and atmosphere. There are multiple pools and they are amazing. We like the bungalow and the patio near the fountains.

Disappointing Experience With Front Desk Manager and Lack of Autism Awareness

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

I am very disappointed with my experience at Paradise Point Resort, especially considering how expensive this property is. On Friday, July 24, at approximately 12:30 p.m., while checking in, my nonverbal autistic son was walking in circles and making vocalizations, which is part of how he regulates himself. Instead of showing understanding or compassion, the front desk manager—the only employee wearing a black uniform while the other front desk staff wore colorful uniforms—pointed her finger at my son, yelled at me to make him stop because he was bothering her, and stood there with both hands covering her ears. I remained calm, walked over to her, and said, "My son is autistic and nonverbal, but I will try to make your life easier." Her only response was, "Thank you." What made the situation even more upsetting was that two other front desk employees witnessed the entire interaction. They had actually been kind and were helping me find a room that would better accommodate my son's needs. Their professionalism only highlighted how inappropriate the manager's behavior was. Families with autistic children already face enough challenges when traveling. Being treated this way by someone in a leadership position at a resort that markets itself as family-friendly was humiliating and unacceptable. The rest of the staff we interacted with during our stay were polite, but this experience overshadowed our arrival. I hope Paradise Point provides better disability awareness and autism training for its management team so that no other family has to go through what we experienced.

We booked a garden room and when we saw it we immediately went and upgraded to a beach bungalow. We got a perfect spot - on the water with plenty of space with a separate bedroom and 2 dressing sink areas. The service was excellent - we took the shuttles to and from dinner and the housekeeping staff were all efficient and friendly - as were all the staff. We were on a sheltered bay on the East side and the sand in front of our unit was clean - as was the water. We ate dinners at the bare foot bar and each night had a great meal daily. One lunch we had their delivery and another day we ate at the pool. They were also great. We sat and watched boats and swimmers and had a very relaxing enjoyable visit. There were family planned activities, mini golf, and boat/board rentals, but we didn't do any of them.

Resort? More like trashy motel.

DO NOT GO unless you have little kids and want to feel like you are at a low class Disney property and don’t care about clean rooms and a maintained property. I immediately checked out early and went somewhere else. This “resort” was built in the 1960s and not much has changed but some new paint, like lipstick on a pig. Don’t be fooled by “resort” this is a trashy public beach motel at an insane price.

Awful

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Rooms are not ready at check in. Staff is incredibly rude at the front desk. Checkin line was 30 mins on a Sunday. Overpriced rooms. Nasty lobby bathrooms. The hotel grounds are deteriorating, the pool is old, and this place should not be asking for anything over $100 a night. They think because they are on the water they deserve to rip people off. This hotel is now a bottom barrel overpriced trap. Will never come back. No hospitality whatsoever. Don’t waste your time or money on this once great hotel because the pictures are not a current reflection of the hotel in 2026.
